Anyone else having this problem? It's driving me crazy!
I developed restless legs in my last pregnancy, and started taking a calcium-magnesium supplement twice a day on advice of my midwife which mostly resolved it. After birth, it had continued to be an issue when I went off the supplement altogether, but I was able to cut down to one caplet a day to relieve it. Now it's flared up again, despite my one daily pill, and even increasing it to two hasn't helped! It's making me crazy. I constantly move around all night. I'm not getting more than an hour of sleep at a time, between this and needing to get up and pee, so I'm totally exhausted and cranky. Plus, it's also affecting me in the evenings when I'm sitting and relaxing, like right now. I'm so darn twitchy!
I'm doing pretty good with all the things I'm supposed to be avoiding, like caffeine and lying in bed before it's time to sleep, and also getting decent exercise and enough of everything from my supplements, I think. My bloodwork came back fine, including my iron levels (which is pretty good for a vegetarian). I'm reading up on it and it seems that I'm getting enough of all the nutrients that are related through by supplements and diet, though one link suggested a hugely different amount of iron than the other links...
I'm at a loss here! Any suggestions? Or maybe someone to commiserate?
