BPA free pressure canning

Thread Starter

I just bought a pressure canner. I'm seeking BPA free jars/lids. I'm looking at the Weck jars. Has anyone pressure canned with them?

I'm also looking, as a second option, at the 4ever or the tattler lids. Anyone use either of those?

Are there any other options I've missed for BPA free canning?

Thanks.

Does anyone have any information about this?

I had some emails with Weck and they said they haven't been tested for pressure canning in the United States. I guess Europe doesn't use pressure canners, just water baths.

I did find a Canadian websites that tells how to use the Weck jars in pressure canning. I'm thinking the difference is liability law. http://www.weckcanada.ca/?page=shop/disp&pid=faq
