I'm having a baby shower with family and friends tomorrow and don't have much planned for "activities". Does anyone have any ideas for for/ inexpensive games or activities, or some other type of meaningful group activity?
Baby shower activities
It's not a game/activity... but I recently threw a shower for a friend and I got pictures of her and her husband as babies/children and hung them in obvious places around the house. It was a great (and very passive) conversation starter for guests/friends/family. People enjoyed reminiscing, asking questions, and envisioning what the new baby might be like.
Great idea, Huck. I did dig out photos of dh and as babies/ small children and put them in a photo album for guests to look at. I also found this link a few minutes ago that had great ideas. I'm doing the wish cards and the advice book.
We played a baby trivia game that was really fun. My friend/host found it on the internet. She may have purchased it on Etsy as part of a package of games that had the theme graphics printed on it. One vendor did the games, invitations, etc. The questions were about how long it takes a diaper to degrade, how big was the biggest baby, etc. The most interesting question was asking what babies are not born with. The answer is kneecaps! I'm sure you could make your own trivia game.
We ended up not playing any shower games, but I did have these cards printed and asked guests to complete a Wish card for baby and then put any advice on the back of the card. Guests at the shower thought that it was a sweet idea. Here is the pdf for the card (they have other colors).
