That's the same thing I do. But, I just got the new huggies + plus from costco for my 2 year old because I use sposies at night and other random times and they smelled yucky. So, avoid huggies plus(extra absorbency.) Kirkland brand diapers (costco) are modeled after huggies and I get those sometimes too. A lot of times, I let the coupons from costco dictate which ones I get. Just a tip if you shop at costco, huggies are cheaper than kirkland diapers last I checked unless you have a coupon. I've never really enjoyed night time cloth diapering. I can manage it if I put a giant diaper(stuffed to the max) on my kiddo usually, but they tend to wake up more at night and stuff because the wetness bothers them and I kinda like my sleep even if that sounds "selfish." Also, I think it is less comfortable for them to have a huge amount of padding down there when trying to move around at night. Nighttime cloth is easier when they are newborns or still waking up every few hours for nursing. It's when they start sleeping 8-13 hour stretches that it becomes a problem.
As far as wipes though, it's worth the extra money to get a natural/green wipe. Read the ingredients. I was using seventh generation, but recently read they changed them again and they aren't as good. So, I may have to research that again. But, the main stream wipes have so many nasty chemicals in them it's horrifying. I will NOT use those. I would rather wet a paper towel and use that.
