wow it's really mean to tell a pregnant woman that it's awful to have her baby being born around Christmas. Really what is she going to do about it? That is unbelievably rude!!
Well I doubt baby boy is going to be born anywhere near Christmas, but he might be born on Saint Nicholas's day which is celebrated here. That won't be so bad, then he'll get a birthday gift and another one in his cleaned up shoes (they seriously have many random traditions/celebrations here). I'm just hoping for a November birthday so that way celebrating his birthday will not be mixed up with Christmas.
I think I'll order all Christmas gifts once my maternity leave starts mid-October and have DP & DD take care of getting the tree/decorating it. We also have here a very lovely Christmas market so I'm hoping that I'll be fit enough to take DD a few times for the merry-go-round and some Xmas treats. No clue what we will do for Christmas-dinner though.
I'm getting excited about buying some baby boy clothes. I learned my lesson with DD, no complicated outfits, simple things like over-alls, onesies and lots of warm stockings. And a snowsuit. It's perfect for the winter here, no need for jackets, warm pants and warm shoes. I used to put her in a snowsuit and we're ready to go.
I've also been meaning to start a wishlist on amazon. It was useful last time when people asked us what we need. We got almost everything on the list and everyone seemed relieved to not to have to come up with ideas.
And collecting recipes for meals to prepare either beforehand, or very quick-to-prepare meals. We should probably start and pinterest-board..
