How did she know!?

DH's mom asked me the day before I found out I was PG if we had "something to announce" and I said no, just fat. She asked again two days later, after we'd gotten the positive.

Spooky, if you ask me.

My mom knew before I did with my first pregnancy.

My husband knew before I did with my second (he said I "smelled pregnant").

What on earth? Anyone had similar experiences? Is my family psychic and they just don't know it?

ETA - with these last two I tested ASAP, before my period was even expected, so it isn't like I was far along or anything...

My neice, my SIL's daughter, told me I had a baby in my tummy already when she overheard her mom and I discussing TTC my second son!! She was 6, and she was right! I got a positive test a week later!

I did end up telling her. She looked so sure! I just hope she manages to keep the secret, since I am really not wanting my parents to know just yet. My 18-year-old sister (who knows already) is moving up for the summer (my parents are not the best with teenagers and she really needs a break) and I think my parents might not let her come if they found out - so I'm waiting until she's on the way before we 'spill the beans' which would be another month or so.

My 4 yo started talking about having a baby sister before I got the positive test back (he now has decided that I am having a boy)...It's a bit much isn't it :LOL

Both of my kids (5 & 3) seemed to know before I did, and have been pretty vocal about "having a new baby". Seems a little odd to me, since they have never really mentioned it before and we still have not told them anything, we are waiting till we can be a little more sure since I have had two mc in row. On the upside, they never mentioned a thing when I was pg with the two I mc....so maybe that is good news for this babe and perhaps he/she will be sticking around

Yup. Two out of three times I was pregnant I walked in the door of my parents house, my mom took one look at me and said, "Are you pregnant?"

So much for suprises!

My mom seemed to know that I was pregnant with my first before I even knew. But this time around no one seemed to have that sense.

My MIL came to visit us in our new apartment and commented how it would be an ok size to have a new baby in...something we hadn't ever raised with her...few days later found out I was pregnant.
I also attracted cats and dogs a lot!

my mom knew too

The day after I think we conceived my Mom called me and said she had had a dream that I was pregnant! She also knew when my sister was pregnant before my sister had told anyone.

My Dh went on tour down to CA and a friend in San Fran said "you guys are pregnant aren't you?" I think I was only a month along and this babe was a surprise so it was like we were talking about haveing a babe. Pretty cool.

Interesting!

Pregnancy is funny like that. Every single time I have been pregnant 'I knew' even before I had any proof. Sometimes I even didn't believe myself LOL

Like this time for instance... I wasn't trying to get pregnant. I haven't even had my period since before my last pregnancy... so I didn't expect anything. I was looking in the mirror and thought 'gez, I look pregnant!' Hmm well I guess that is because I was I also dreamnt I was pregnant too during that time and forwhatever reason was having a lot of memories of my last pregnancy just popping into my head randomly.

I didn't find out until I went to my midwives for my overdue annual. In fact the prego test was an afterthought... they forgot to have me do it beforehand and my midwife says "hey you never pee'd in the cup did you? well I don't think your pregnant based on your exam, but let's do it anyways" LOL we were all surprised that day

I have had friends tell me I was pregnant before I told them. Also my kids this time were very tuned in to it before I was.

I guess these people are tuning in to physical differences without being able to pinpoint them. I've heard your gums change & your dentist can tell if you are pregnant by looking at them. Also your nipples get darker, not that most of your friends would be seeing that much! teehee. I wonder what other physical differences happen, well beyond the obvious getting more rotund. My eyes are more green & my pee is more yellow (that's how I guessed b4 the test).
