So I had an ultrasound two days ago at what I thought was 11w3d (calculated based on my ovulation date which I'm pretty sure of). The doctor measured three times and all 3 the estimate was 12w3d, a week ahead! I have to say the baby was lying in a perfect position for measurement, you know, the typical C-shape in text books. This would have my ovulation date on CD5 - no way possible. Still the baby was relatively big for 11 weeks...
After we talked about it, she changed my official due date to November 30 which I'm a bit nervous about because I don't want to have to deal with the pressure to induce early. She was kind and said not to worry too much about it, when the time comes we'd take into consideration the O-date. Now I'm just confused which one to use for keeping track personally.
I have to say an earlier due date is not so bad because maternity leave here starts six weeks before so I get to go off work a week earlier.
Are any of you dealing with due date confusion?
