Prescottchels - need my lol cats 😄, are you checking for o or being good?
Mamacats - snap! I got a dip too 😡so big hugs lady - and here's hoping they are just passing through!
I'm trying to make an appointment with my guru lady... The emotional roller coaster is driving me nuts! Especially with the job interview tomorrow as well.. So I figure I need some calming down..
One thing that's giving me hope is spotting is 'normal' for me in early pg, also the cramping that feels like AF will start any day... So over that - been going for about 5 days now!post #27 of 3565/27/13 at 2:20pmThread Starter
Gads, Chuord! I'd need to go sit on top of a mountain to find calm enough to get thru a job interview and a seemingly indecisive body
I haven't checked for O, but this morning I did notice the strong desire to POAS, any stick!! but I didn't...instead I've been watching one episode after another of "Once Upon a Time" on netflix. all. day. long so much for organizing or accomplishing anything today....It's quarter past 2 in the afternoon so there's still time in the day and it's so beautiful, sunny & 75-totally perfect and I'm inside watching tv. silly girl...post #28 of 3565/27/13 at 2:57pmGo on Prescottchels poas! Lol! I'm so glad to see you're just chillin! I find that relaxing or procrastinating is never as much fun when all your jobs are done and it's 'allowed' but then I am (I believe) almost a professional procrastinator 😁😇... There's nothing better than watching a series on a day like that... Hope you get time for a vit d dose age too!
Thanks for making me feel less pathetic by being so stressed about all my bits 😄 I go from no life to everything at once... It's the way I used to operate, but sadly I'm thinking I like being a stay at home wife, life is good... So why would I want a job lol... Ok I have to stop writing - cos when stressed I'm a gabster!
Btw - so over the back ache, cramping and nightmares...post #29 of 3565/27/13 at 6:11pmThanks so much for the loves you guys . Not a productive day for me, at all, and if I'd had the day to myself I would have sat around watching tv too prescott .
So you're taking your hat back out of the WOH ring chuord? Gotta do what feels right that's for sure! Still gotta hope for us even though temp drops are discouraging . And ugh, so sorry about the nightmares and other funkiness .
Tomorrow is 14DPO. If AF is coming she's touching down either tomorrow or Wednesday. Can I just sleep through the next two days?!post #30 of 3565/27/13 at 9:08pmHi ladies! Have been MIA -- distracted Memorial Day weekend and it's already CD 10, anxiously awaiting O in the next few days. I actually already have way more CM this cycle than I have the last few (CM randomly decided to like go away 3 cycles ago -- hormones are so weird!) so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
Going for a run but just wanted to pop in and say mamacats I hope the temp dip was a false alarm for you and chuord wow what a roller coaster -- keeping all fx that this is it for you. I got a late BFP with my miscarriage at 16 DPO and while that didn't end well my mom told me a story about her own pregnancy with me that eased my mind. She had missed her period, went to the doc for a beta (this was the 80s so I don't think HPTs were as sensitive as they are nowadays!) and it came back negative. So the doc put her on provera to induce her period, knowing that she was TTC and would want to get on with it. Well a week later period still hadn't shown so she went back to the doc and blood test positive! She said she spent nearly the whole pregnancy then freaking out that the provera had done something to harm the baby but here I am (fairly) normal and healthy! So just a little hopeful story for you or anyone else who might be getting BFNs with a late period!
Have a nice day ladies!
Edited by oasis84 - 5/28/13 at 3:43ampost #31 of 3565/27/13 at 9:37pmThanks for the story oasis! That's a great outcome... Fx for you this month! It's great that you managed to distract yourself for part one - what distractions do you have for the second tww?
Mamacats - thanks! I just can't see anything but good things for you this month... No idea why lol as I'm not psychic!
Update - had a treatment today with Ranee, all still going well, she laughed and said dh is fine with it, baby is fine, I'm the one not adjusted yet... Just writing that reminded me to accept that I am pregnant and just enjoy. Still bfn, but have booked in for the doctors on Thursday for a blood test... I want to tell dh and share, but need evidence lol...post #32 of 3565/28/13 at 3:56am
chuord what DPO are you now? I know from my exhaustive chart-stalking on fertility friend there are definitely women who get BFNs through 18 DPO and later.
I mentioned a few posts back about BD'ing every day and this is one of the articles I've read on it, coming from the New England Journal of Medicine: http://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/53400069.aspx?MsdVisit=1 Interesting stuff all around though I'd like to see it repeated with a larger sample size.
Re: sharing pics -- I'm with patti on the pics in the forum but I used to keep a blog back when DH was deployed that has some photos of us as well as a link to our wedding announcement with another photo: http://patterson-muellers.blogspot.com/ Feel free to skip the "Dear Diary" stuff and move on to the pics :)
prescott I feel you on the nice-day tv-watching guilt. It's almost always nice here (probably like in AZ) so I had to get over that one pretty quickly haha. Sometimes that East Coast masochism gets the better of me, though, and I long for a rainy, gray stretch of days -- I really do find it stimulates introspection and creativity better (at least in me). One convenient thing is that since it's so sunny here all the time all the houses are equipped with these industrial window shades that can be pulled down to completely block out all light. At first I thought they were scary and dystopian but I've grown to appreciate them, especially in the bedroom!post #33 of 3565/28/13 at 7:59am
oasis84 - The pics of you and DH are so cute. I really liked the one in "The Truth About Backstage (or The Way of Love)". The story about your mom's pregnancy was very reassuring. Thanks for sharing! Yay for the increase in CM! That sounds like a good sign
chuord - I hope Ranee is right! I did have some light bleeding with my first pregnancy (now a 15year old DD). The bleeding lasted for about 4 days and was much lighter than my normal flow. Just a little more than spotting. I was 19 and not even thinking pregnancy. The only reason I ended up taking a pregnancy test was because I had a dream that I was pregnant after the bleeding had stopped! I hope Thursday's appointment brings great news! Let us know how the job interview goes!
prescottchels - Sometimes a girl just needs to watch tv all day! I did that on Saturday and I don't feel the least bit guilty I really like your windows. Are those live plants? I think I might try something like that too. I am glad that you are able to provide the supervision for your friend's visitation. That must have been a heartbreaking court case. My ex-husband was railroaded in court and is no longer allowed visitation with his son from a marriage before our marriage. I take mine and ex-husband's DS to see his half-brother because I want them to have a relationship. It's kind of weird hanging out with my ex-husband's ex-wife LOL
oxford - How are you lady?
mamacatsbaby - How are you holding up? I stalked your chart and temp is still up
AFM - CD12 and DH just came off his first shift, now he is sick! I must stick to this as my mantra: “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” - Lao Tzupost #34 of 3565/28/13 at 10:26ampost #35 of 3565/28/13 at 11:49amLove your mom's story oasis! I think the generation that our parents belong to are chock full of great stories like that . I started reading on your link and will continue to read through it. It's all so fascinating isn't it! And you and your DH are just adorable .
Oh my goodness chourd, I'm just on pins and needles over here for you!
pattimomma: I'm doing ok, thanks . It's so messed up man 'cause I know individual temps don't mean much of anything but I can't help feeling sniffle-y about it all. Trying to keep the hope level up just a bit longer! Aww, sorry your DH is sick . Hope he gets on the mend soon and that it doesn't travel around the house .post #36 of 3565/28/13 at 2:33pmOk from 'excitement' I've been awake since 3am... Interview at 1pm.. Will do personals after... Soo tired! But although anxious about the interview, I'm running on an inner glow 😃 can't wait for the blood test - not because I don't believe, but so I can share!
I love you girls 😍 thanks for all the support this week... Five years of slow lane, then everything happens at once. Dh has been offered 18 days worth of locum work (4hr plane trip) at great rates... Too much excitement here - I'm going to bust lol
Oasis - 22dpo and counting, pattimomma - 4 days spotting exactly here!post #37 of 3565/28/13 at 5:42pmpost #38 of 3565/28/13 at 6:40pmpost #39 of 3565/28/13 at 10:02pmOh no chuord... Don't cancel interview though! Thinking of you and hoping all turns out well. Cramping and spotting can be totally normal -- I had cramping after my BFP.
Sorry about DH patti, hope he's feeling better tomorrow. Great quote, btw!
Any updates for you mamacats? Still keeping fx for you...post #40 of 3565/28/13 at 10:40pmOasis - the cramping was so strong I took painkillers and still needed a hot pack... I think it's immaterial now, had substantial flow when I got home... So am just ignoring it all, interview went fine... Still have my doc visit tomorrow so ?? May as well go and chat.
Sorry ladies I feel too drained for personals - hugs to everyone 😃
