Full Strawberry Moon: Strawberry-picking season peaks during this month. Europeans called this the Rose Moon. The moon will also arrive at perigee only 32 minutes earlier, at 7 a.m. EDT at a distance of 221,824 miles (356,991 kilometers) from Earth. So this is the biggest full moon of 2013. Very high ocean tides can be expected during the next two or three days, thanks to the coincidence of perigee with the full moon.
Anyone else due around this time? I've been hoping to have this baby a week or more early, but now I'm thinking that the full moon might coax her out closer to my due date (June 22nd.) My first was born 3 days after the full moon (and 5 days after my due date) so I'm not sure how much stock I put in the full-moon/labor connection, but then again that wasn't a SUPER moon.
