You could totally still change your mind and have three. I'm living proof! smile.gif

Glad I'm not the only one being annoyed by the white-clad potty woman!

Good luck and hugs to you mamas with insomnia and sick kids.

Home on the couch for the next week... No stairs allowed (of course I live in a 3story townhouse... No shower on the 1st floor ugh!) i may venture upstairs tuesday to shower and stay up on the 2nd floor... hopefully the cerclage stitch stays in until the end and doesn't fail... If I was going to have a vag delivery They'd take them out around 34-36 weeks. But I don't know given the inevitability of a C with triplets. Maybe at the same time as the c-section? I didn't ask!! But I should probably !? Oy so much to think of....

Slammerkin- I haven't figured out the whole when to announce on FB. I think I'll wait until 24 weeks. But so many know and keep dropping annoying hint/comments and others are starting to question... It's funny how in everyone else's business we get sometimes! But it is a useful way to announce!!

For all the acne challenged--I have it behind my ears and neck. It's soooo annoying and weird.

Hmmm rescue remedy for the sleepless nights... I might have to dig it out! Great idea...

Is it inevitable to have a c-section with Triplets?  Why?

Serafina - my mother in law is a midwife and she said its far more common to have triplets via c-section as the variables are just too high making it almost safer to have them born that way, they don't tend to do the normal things in labour which singletons and twins do, because there just isn't the room for them to get into a good position, and even if they do the likelihood of all three being able to exit like that is too slim for it to be safe especially as they usually come early. So in the end its about safety of mother and her babies.

22 weeks today joy.gif and after this weekend I am SORE! Far too much time out in the garden and using the weed eater on the lawn. Then too much time enjoying my new found crafty inspiration. Sitting at my sewing machine on the bed leaning towards the ironing board, oh to have a bigger house! But seriously made the cutest hats, 4 in total now and I'm so in love with the last two. Time for bed now in the hopes my back feels significantly better tomorrow!

ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had our level 2 ultrasound this morning, saw hands, nasal bone, full cranial structures, It was supposed to take 40 minutes+ it took 10! So I can relax now. I figure if there was an issue it might have taken much longer. I have an anterior placenta which is crazy as I feel movement all the freaking time! But it is no where near the cervix and the baby girl is head down...which is also nuts as she has some fast flying hands! And feet.

Congrats, Shiloh!!! Woohoo! Glad to hear everything went so smooth as well! I have an anterior placenta as well, and feel tons of movement. I think mine is to my right front, because I feel the most movement to my left, and TONS around my cervix/vag area.

CONGRATS Shiloh!

So with triplets then a normal, vaginal birth is out of the question to even attempt?  I didn't know that.

I think you can try it but the issue with mulitples is you could up vag birthing one or two then having a section for the last one. YOu also have 3 placentas to separate. I am sure that ups the risk. I found out I am getting induced at 37 weeks because of the blood thinners. WOW I have only ever gone into labour and my last 2 were 3 hours and 1 hour.... This will be different.

Congrats Shiloh!  I know how you feel. I felt like I could finally breathe once I saw that all the right parts were in all the right places.

I am getting so annoyed looking for a maternity bathing suit. I always wore bikinis before DS but I just became less comfortable in them after. I don't have a ton of stretch marks but there are enough around my belly button to make me a bit more shy and as my belly is growing now they are getting darker again. Anyway, I have been searching ebay for days in search of a not too dowdy tankini or something. If I was willing to shell out the cash I would just buy the Gap or the Isabel and Ingrid ones that I really like but I just can't warrant paying $50+ for a suit I'll only wear for one summer especially when I splurged and bought myself a new beautiful and not cheap one-piece for regular non- pregnant life last summer.   Uggh.  This would be so much easier if I felt comfortable wearing a bikini. It has been such a strange transition for me going from being totally comfortable in my body to being kind of shy about it.

Ciga, I feel your pain. This will be my first summer not in a bikini. Strangely, I'm more self conscious about my butt for some reason. Maybe because it feels weird to have my top half more covered than my bottom half. So it just feels like my butt is gonna be hanging out. And you're right- the prices are insane!

I guess I fall on the opposite side of the spectrum. I usually wear long boy trunks for swimming out of modesty. I have no idea what I'll wear this summer...I've been trying to see if I can find an affordable maternity wet suit.

That sounds more difficult than our task of finding an affordable maternity tankini! Good luck revolting!

I found a cute ruffled tankini-ish swim top at Walmart that has a tie at the back and neck, and the rest of the fabric is loose and flowing so it should lay nicely on my belly no matter how big I get. Unfortunately they didn't have any matching bottoms so I'm hoping I can find something at Target. I'd really like it if I could find little boyshort bottoms but they're so hard to find! I was a bikini gal before too, but I'm feeling cellulite-y and not so confident these days.

I know all about feeling overrun with cellulite! I want to wear leggings to the beach!

i signed up for mother/child swim lessons in july with my 2 year old at the local pool.  i'm not sure what i was thinking.  i do have some skirted bottoms but i don't know that i have belly ready tops.  i'll probably  just go to st. vinny's (second hand catholic charity store) and get some random top to kind of match my bottoms (maternity tankini?)!

Aww yeah Target came through for me. I got the perfect little swim shorts to go with my top. smile.gif
