I am hoping to become pregnant again soon and I am considering delivering at Methodist with their midwives. I was hoping for some feedback from anyone who has delivered there.
I was really wanting a home birth this time around. Me and dh had been saving up but we have had some unexpected expenses so the midwife fund has been depleted. :( I will be on pregnancy medicaid and we are just really struggling between having a home birth, which we will have to pay for completely out of pocket, or going with the completely free option. I have heard both good and bad things about Methodist. I know they allow you to have a water birth, which is what I am wanting, and they have midwives on staff. I am hoping to see Darla Berry for my prenatals. Anyone have experience with her?
I had my first at Anderson Community and I was seeing the midwives there. I really liked them but they left the hospital when I was 38 weeks and I ended up delivering with an OB. It was awful and intervention filled and I am really hoping to avoid that this time. Methodist advertises what I am wanting but I would like some reassurance that they are truly accepting of natural birth. Any feedback would be appreciated.
