Braxton Hicks

With my other pregnancies I had a lot of BH contractions.  But I can't remember when they started.

Right now my life is really crazy, harried and so stressed.  And I've been feeling some rumblings, not just baby movement.  Not a lot, but enough to make me aware.

I wonder if I should be concerned.  I'm trying to take it easier, but I am a mother to 2 other children....

I'm getting a lot of BH, but only when my daughter nurses first thing in the morning. It's crazy! I figure it's probably linked to higher levels of hormones in the morning, and the fact that I can't really stay super hydrated in my sleep :P

I started getting them around 10 weeks. I started around 14 last time. Still delivered between 40-41 weeks, lol.

Things to help:

drink lots of water

relax

warm bath

take a mag/cal supplement

I am THE worst water drinker.  Right now I feel nauseous when I drink water, not good.

I bought True Lime and it helps a lot.  http://www.truelemon.com/  It's hard to find the lime in stores but drugstore.com had it and I have free shoprunner shipping so it worked perfectly.  I got the packets for when I'm out and the shaker for at home because it is a lot cheaper per ounce.  I can't drink plain water.  It just tastes gross.

thanks ladies!  Good to know I don't need to panic.

For water, try decaffinated tea as well, or herbal teas, or muddle some fruit into your water.  (yum strawberry)

I like true lime and lemon too, or come visit me, I have oh so many lemons right now!

So my BHs have increased a lot, but it's okay, nice to know that things are just starting to work out!
