Any July mama's planning or have had a waterbirth, home or hospital?

I'm just wondering if any of you ladies are "planning" a water birth? I had a home birth with my first with no tub, this time we are going to have a tub and I am looking forward to using it either in labor and/or delivery. Any mom's have experience or advice to share.

I will have a birth tub set up for this birth. Never had a water birth or really labored in water except some shower time with my last one. My midwife thinks it's great and said most women find it helps. So, hopefully, that will be the case for me too. I'm keeping an open mind to doing whatever feels right at the time.

Here's the thread I started about it a while ago on it in the homebirth section. http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1381262/water-birth-laboring-in-water-did-you-like-it I think I got some good answers.

i didn't like our tub--we just got one of those kid ones with the fishies on it--it just seemed too big and overwhelming...like i couldn't get a good way to be in it where i felt sturdy. so, i am not planning on having a big tub this time. though i'm open to using our small bathtub and definitely the shower--that was my favorite place the last time.

but i did mention how i felt last time in the tub to a friend and she said she felt like that with one of her births--but with her others she'd had a sturdier pool with hard sides--or sturdy sides anyways and she felt it was more supportive/comfortable. so--maybe that's something to keep in mind.

i have certainly heard lots of mamas use the kiddie pool or any tub for that matter and be happy. so i hope you love it! :) i certainly love the water for birth!!!

My hospital offers a tub. I am thinking of availing myself of it, but having never used one in my previous births, I sometimes feel weird about it. Silly, but there it is.

The idea is very appealing, I guess I just need to try it and see how it actually feels to be in water.

I'm delivering at a hospital, so no delivery -in- the water, but I'm definitely planning to take advantage of the shower and bathtub the have in the rooms. I mean, who knows how I'll feel when I get there, but showers definitely make me feel more relaxed/painfree normally!

I've never birthed in a tub but with my first I LOVED the shower and got a lot of pain relief from that. I was so excited about getting into the shower as soon as I arrived at the hospital when I was in labour with my second but I didn't get any relief from the shower during that labour. I wanted out almost immediately and felt better moving around that time so I don't know what to expect this labour.

This is my third pregnancy.  First- I delivered naturally in the hospital, no water birth.  Second-I delivered at home, no water birth.

This one I am going to set the tub up and attempt to labor and deliver in it.  I think it will be really nice at the end of a hot July to be in water!

I'm hoping it will help me relax and help me have a fast L&D!
