Has anyone ever made their own amber teething necklace?

I'm wondering if anyone has ever made their own amber teething necklace/bracelet.  My grandmother gave me some beautiful natural Baltic amber beads (unpolished and untreated) and I was thinking about trying to make my own necklace or anklet for my DD.  Of course I'm worried about the safety of making my own so was wondering whether anyone has made one and/or has any good patterns to follow for making one.

Thanks!

I had an amber teething necklace for my daughter, but I bought it for like $15 at a local boutique. I am sure you can make one yourself, have you done any google searches to see? I would maybe go to my local beading store to see if they could show me how to make one that would be safe for baby.

Yes. Just tie a knot after every bead and use stronger string

Ditto what PP said. Waxed threads are stronger too.
