Nursing Mamas TTC June - Page 2

fishywishy - For me it usually lasts about five or six days.

On another note, I am 10 DPO and got a very faint BFP this morning!  joy.gif  I want to jump up and down and yell it out the windows, but I have had a little bit of spotting since yesterday, so I am a little bit paranoid because that didn't happen when I got pregnant with my son.  I guess only time will tell.  Has anyone else experienced spotting around the time of a BFP?

Why oh why did I buy a pack of Wondfo's?  I have gotten 3-4 super super super super faint lines since yesterday afternoon (yeah, I get a little obsessed when testing - hence the Wondfo's).  The lines are there, they look like they have color...

I am sure it's evaps or false positives though, it looks like Wondfo has recently released a faulty batch. boo. We will see.

I tried to take pictures of a couple of the tests to post, but the lines are so difficult to see I doubt anyone could see them.

Thanks, fishywishy!!  smile.gif  Are you testing pregnancy or ovulation with the Wondfos (I'm guessing pregnancy)?  All I've used so far are Wondfo pregnancy tests... the lines have been pretty faint, as it's still super early, but they are definitely there.  I've gotten LOTS of negatives (which I stared at forever and looked at from every possible angle to make sure there was no hint of a line) with my Wondfos and never a false positive.  How many DPO are you?  Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hey jaxz - I'll be 8 dpo tomorrow...er, later this morning. :) Still seems kind of early to get any kind of line.  Hmm, good to know - maybe the lines will be a tiny bit darker when I test again.

I am going to try to post a pic from my phone, bear with me. This is from this am, the top test is water, the bottom is fmu. I swear I can see something in the urine...but not enough to show anyone (except you guys, of course)

Not ttc niw, but I always stalk this forum... spent lots of time here last year.

Hi Chloe'sMama - thanks for humoring me :) (I have a "Liam" too! Great name!)

I took a test tonight...nothing.  Not even a possible super squinter.  I guess I was looking too hard at the other ones.  uhoh3.gif

Hi everyone. I guess I am back in my second round of the 2 week wait (was late to get back ot last month). I guess it was denial I suppose with a 35 day cycle (first one post partum at 17.5 months and longest one ever). I get obsessive with dollar store tests so I will be reasonable this time. What are these Wondfo's? Can you get them in Canada? Positive patient thoughts for all of you.

Momma Michael - Wondfos are super cheap ovulation and pregnancy test strips.  I usually buy them on Amazon, so I'm assuming you could get them in Canada, but I don't know for sure:

Hang in there, fishywishy!

Hi momma Michael! Depending on how this cycle turns out, I am not sure if I would buy wonfos again. Too many strange lines, too stressful. I could stop using them, that would help with the stress...but what's the fun in that? smile.gif I buy mine from amazon also.

For today's phantom squinter...

I see a line on that one, fishywishy!!

I didn't see a line until 10 DPO, and it was a very faint one... but it's gotten darker and I've gotten a positive with a FRER.  You could always try another test if you think the line is getting any darker.

Thanks Mommas Fishywishy, Sukhada and Jaxz for info. I think I will hold off this cycle but maybe order next month if necessary;)
I can't really tell when I ovulated but by temp change I am about 8 days post ovulation. I will test in a week to see...

Thanks for the replies & pic tweaks ladies!! smile.gif
I have absolutely nothing exciting to report today - wondfo was bfn last night, frer AND wondfo was bfn this morning. I was totally disappointed this morning, but it's still early and of course it's ok if this cycle is a bust. Stupid wonfo's!! I only have one frer left, I guess I'll save it for at least a few more days (or try to! Ha!)

fishy at 10DPO with my son my IC's were faint but the FRER was barely visible.  I buy mine at babywishes.org more expensive than the wondfo's but they are not too skinny and have never steered me wrong (except the time I used an expired one, it had expired a year before I used it LOL)  I buy them there because I like their OPK's which I go through like mad. They also sell super sensitive tests, I usually throw a couple of those in with my order too.

I'm waiting to O again and waiting for my OPK's to arrive, though by all other signs I think I will O before the tests get here.  EWCM and lots of fernign today.  My temps this cycle seem much more stable than my first cycle and it looks like I'm going to O much earlier too, I'm on CD 11 today.  Before I had my lo I o'ed on cd 12 (usually)  looks like I am heading back to to my regular cycles.

stretch - What do you use to examine ferning? Can you be specific? I started to try to look at ferning at my first round of TTC, but I had only a dissecting scope on hand and it wasn't powerful enough.

fishywishy - good luck mama. I see a line on the image I played with, but I am really curious whether one can get a line to appear no matter what with enough tweaking. Hmm, I think someone recently posted a test plus a water-test (extra control). Was that you? I should go look. (Yay...procrastination...)

Edit: Yep, that was you, on this same page no less. I can't get a line to appear on either of those.

Rosie I use a standard microscope I just put a little spit on a glass slide.  I will try it with the microscope that comes with the basic science kits for you (I have one of those too).  I just use one with the light built in, cause it is easier than the one with the mirror as i do not have to adjust it ever time I use It.  I think I am using 50X but I need to double check that when I get home tonight.  I'm dorky and love science stuff so the more testing methods the better, I also love charts and graphs and stuff.  Sometimes I think I should go back to school, but I have neither the money nor do I want to give up my family time at the moment.

O is definitly coming soon I am cranky (typical sign for me)  My abdomen is hurty/ pinchy I have EWCM and ferning, I just wish I had some OPK's to finish the testing trifecta.
