Vitamins for 15-month-old and 5-year-old

I haven't been here to post in a long time it seems!

I was just coming to find out what the best natural/organic vitamins you mamas know of for the little ones these days.  When my 5-year-old was a lot younger, I used to get the Liquid Health Complete Multi for him,  but for the past year or so, he just gets D3 and Cod liver oil.

I want to start my 15-month-old on a multi (and include my 5-year-old with a multi as well again) but I am not sure where to start.  Is Liquid Health good? Back then, I thought it was but maybe there is a lot more natural out there that I am missing?

TIA!

Shaklee brand is good and natural. I use them on both my 5 year old and 19 month old

MegaFoods, Dolphin Pals, Yummi Bears, Nutrition Now "Rhino" & Nature's Plus have some good ones. They're really "clean" ingredients, not a bunch of fillers, and allergy-friendly.

A lot of multi-vitamins are low in iron, magnesium and calcium, so read labels to see what you need to add on the side...and when you do calcium supplements, do them a few hours apart from the others, since it inhibits absorption of iron and magnesium.

I give my kids the Nature's Plus Animal Parade Gold multi's, Dolphin Pals DHA gummies, and later in the day Nutrition Now Rhino calcium gummies...they think they're getting candy every day! thumb.gif

I had some Rainbow Light powder packets but they were really minerally tasting and my kids didn't like them. Now we use Child Life liquid multivitamin and it tastes great and both my boys age 4 and 22 months love it. I like how its liquid so you can decide how much you want to give - the dose for the older one is 2-3 tsp and for the younger one is 1-2, so depending on their health and eating habits they can have a little more or little less.

just wanted to comment on the shaklee kids vitamin

It has sorbitol in it (which is an artificial sweetener found in sugarless gum). Causes bloating and pain in sensitive people (like me) and it also has carraganeen in it which is a common additive but is bad news IMO. http://www.cornucopia.org/carrageenan-2013/

nothing natural about this brand!!
