I am tandem nursing- my EBF 5 m old and 20 m old toddler who nurses basically every time the baby does, and more, in the day. I've always struggled with keeping weight on, and I am also fully recovered from an eating disorder. Since nursing these two I've been losing weight too much, right now I am 117 lb and 5'6 1/2''. I cannot afford to lose more weight and would like to gain some (I look/feel best around 128 lb, I haven't been that high since before becoming pg with DD, not counting pg weight gain).
I eat a mostly TF diet, I try to get in lots of fats- coconut oil and butter in my oats, sprouted bread slathered in butter and nut butter, sometimes I'll just eat a spoon of coconut oil and honey. I would be drinking 3 cups of raw milk/yogurt a day, and using cream in cooking, but our farmer is injured and we won't be getting any for a few weeks, so I just have a bit from my freezer.
Has anyone else had trouble keep weight on after a pregnancy (or after switching TF)? I don't know if I'll be able to keep this up without eating tons of junk food, which I'd prefer not to do. I've already started adding more carbs in, as my BBT was very low (96.8 or even lower) and it has risen to 97.5.
I'm also worried about this affecting my milk supply- seems good still, and I really want to keep it that way!!
