I knew I was pg because of the nausea - it's much less this last week, though. I have the round ligament pain occasionally and I'm so tired I could sleep standing in traffic! SO TIRED!!!! My breasts have gotten sore this week, too, and I get that feeling like my milk is letting down at least once a day.

Not that I don't like Sally Fallon, but I'm still worried. I was nauseated Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Wednesday evening, Thursday morning, Thursday evening but today ... Friday morning? I feel okay. Not 110% but fine, not really nauseous and it's kind of freaking me out. A friend of mine felt sick for two days in week six and then miscarried in week seven but with her other two pregnancies she always felt consistently sick from 6-15 weeks. I got really excited when I found out we were pregnant and told friends (though haven't told family yet) and I reasoned that I would tell those folks anyway if I miscarried but now I'm wondering if this is karma wagging it's finger at me for defying the 12-week rule. :( I'm trying not to worry too much but it's hard.
CupOfJoe: I guess I'm happy for you that your nauseous? :) My morning sickness comes in waves and isn't consistent every single day. With one pregnancy, I only had it at night (from about 4-8pm), so you just never know. Do your best to now worry (easier said than done) because 1. you don't need that added stress and 2. your baby doesn't either. Hang in there!
I'm only 4 weeks today. Symptoms are being off beer, not finishing coffee, falling asleep at 7:30 or 8:00 when I am putting the kids to bed, and morning sickness. Made me decide to test several days ago. Lo and behold- positive. I never felt symptoms other then feeling tired this early with the girls. I am comforted by it though.
I had a little bit of stretchy feeling/soreness - like I'd done a ton of crunches, at about 3 1/2 weeks. Drove me nuts because I know that feeling and know it probably means I'm pregnant yet I was getting negative tests back! Oh and my KNEES! I couldn't really walk upstairs they hurt so bad! But that's gone away.
I guess I've been hungry and tired.... I guess.
But really I have to keep REMINDING myself I'm pregnant. I feel nothing. I'm just shy of 6 weeks. I was SO sick with my last. I admit, the lack of anything is making me nervous!
Ohhh the lower back pain! Yes - I've had it on an off since about 5 weeks and I'm in my 7th week now.
Not really any nausea so to speak, def tired but biggest symptom has been my incredible bloating and weight gain already. I mean sure ... I'm loving me some ice cream, OK a lot of ice cream since before finding out even - but the rest of my diet remains the same.
So it would seem here in middle of my 7th week that I've gained 7 pounds already since the day after my missed period ...oh Mylanta!
My sore breasts went away (so of course I got nervous) but they are still fuller for sure.
I think that's about it. My first apt is on July 11th so hopefully it will be all good news then.
cricketschirpin - my first appt is July 11, too! :) I can't wait!! and, i love ice cream, too. i had grand plans to try to avoid sweets/refined sugar during my pregnancy but so far that hasn't worked out so well ;)
I still continue with no morning sickness (lucky me, I guess), though my breasts are on and off quite sore and definitely fuller / larger nipples. I also get nervous when the soreness goes away. Then I have to look in the mirror and make sure they still look larger. Haha. On that note, does anyone have a recommendation for a good sports bra during pregnancy? I'm really just a b-cup (though now maybe a bit bigger?!) so not too big, but just feeling like my normal bra isn't giving me the support i need for exercise.
ash531! nice we'll have to check in after our visits!
ditto on the no morning sickness, and the sore breasts come and go for sure.
not sure about the sports bra - maybe try an online maternity shop like http://www.motherhood.com/maternity/bras-sports.asp ?
stay in touch!
Previously I felt bloated and so uncomfortable and also had sore and really big breasts. But in the last two days the soreness in the breast has reduced, if not almost gone. I don't know if its still large in size.
Right now, I don't feel bloated and the bland taste in my mouth is gone, but since Sunday evening I have had this constant headache and raised body temperature. I just cannot understand the headache especially. And I am so concerned. I read about it online and some sites stated that headache and a little high temperature can be common in the first trimester. I HATE this headache. I have been taking a pain reliever: acetaminophen (same as tylenol. taking a different brand though). I found out that it was safe even in early pregnancy before doing so. But I hate drugs and wish I do not have to take anything at all. And I feel like I am alone in this. No one has mentioned headache as a symptom here.
I also read that if the temperature is above 38 degrees celsius, I should see my doctor. Measured all through yesterday and the highest temp was about 36.95. so basically it is just the headache that is giving me concern.
My visit to the doctor is on Tuesday but I would watch it till tomorrow and if it persists, I would just give her a call.
And I should say, thanks for those that replied about my concerns about gaining too much weight. I have not been doing so much in controlling what I eat. Just eating normally. But it seems that I have not added so much weight after all. Maybe it was the bloated feeling that made me feel heavy before.
I've become so accustomed to being overwhelmingly exhausted in the afternoon that I forgot how productive I can be when my butt isn't dragging! Today was a symptom free day...which, of course, makes me paranoid. Tomorrow is my first prenatal midwife appointment...so excited but so worried that the sonogram won't pick up a heartbeat...
I have come to the conclusion that I hate the first trimester. Not for the physical discomfort, but for the mind games that I play with myself. Only 4 more weeks til we're out of no man's land and into the fluttery, belly-showing, energetic second trimester!
