Oh, so that's what it's called! We have this thing too, also from a consignment sale. Interesting to see the range of toys it comes with - we're missing the elephant.
O used to really dig that thing, before she could sit up and roll. Now she gets bored and I think she feels trapped - she's happier on a quilt with scattered toys so she can get at them and still see me. Still, the mirror is cool.
Wow, that Bjorn bouncer seat looks amazing! I didn't get the hype til I read some reviews. Seems worth it, yeah? We have a (used) Boppy chair that has two little velco tabs on a bar for toys, but, again, O seems to be less interested in batting and more into watching me. It contains her in the kitchen, and in the bathroom doorway (anyone loving the extra attention to personal potty time? anyone?), at least.
(That isn't true in the car - she HAS to have toys in the car. And I thank heavens for Command hooks!)
We finally picked up a doorway-hanging bouncer from our friends - I'm washing it tonight and will try her in it tomorrow. High hopes. Girl loves to bounce, and she's heavy! My arms are tired.
My only gripe is that the lifespan of these things seems so limited... they're for such specific stages, it seems. Then again... isn't that the way of everything right now? Speaking of which, I need to go through her clothes again, and maybe hit up the thrift/consignment shops for stuff to hold us over until the next box from friends fits her!
