Stretch marks

Anyone else already gotten some?

Since I already have a ton of stretch marks, mostly on my hips and thighs, I sort of assumed that I would get more during pregnancy and tried not to worry too much about it. I moisturize as much as I can, but that's mostly to avoid the itch whenever I get new ones.

So, as I expected, I got my first couple of stretch marks. But what I did not expect was the location - on my boobs! irked.gif

To b honest as I have been fat and thin a lot I already have loads of stretch marks pretty much everywhere. And as big as my belly and boobs have gotten its still not as big as when I was at my largest

serena - I'm similar except in belly. Thighs and hips have been bigger, so no new stretch marks there. Belly definitey bigger now, which is why I think it's a matter of time till I get them. Boobs I was surprised, because I feel they haven't really grown in the last few months (I've gone up in band size but not cup).

With my first, I didn't get any stretch marks until week 34.  I actually thought I might escape pregnancy without any additional stretch marks but then.....yeah, they came in droves after that.

Now I haven't acquired any new ones but I think the old ones just get bigger/wider with each pregnancy.  I am wearing a bikini anyways only because I have zero cares left to give about how my belly looks.  My whininess about the heat exceeds my train track belly marks!

Show off all those Mommy Tiger Stripes!

I've got quite a lot from my last pregnancy, but I don't think I have any new additions yet. I've never done anything to try and avoid them, and they don't bother me so it's all good!

This is pretty much what happened to me in my first pregnancy, too. What a disappointment!

I don't think mine have gotten any worse so far this pregnancy, but I, too, have the belly ones from my first baby, and then the hip and thigh ones from gaining weight well before babies came along. They're all pretty faded and silvery now, so not too big of a deal. I also have cellulite and spider veins, and those bother me a lot more due to location (they're more visible with regular summer clothes). Oh, well.

I didn't get any with my first and so far I'm in the clear still at almost 28w.

None here although I was expecting them. Oh well, I've got another couple of months for them to show up!

I don't have any yet and honestly my skin doesn't feel that tight, so I'm hoping I might make it out without them....but also trying not to get my hopes up since I know so many women get them that in the next three months there's a good chance I will, too. Puberty left me with pretty minimal stretch marks (some tiny, not-too-noticeable ones on my boobs and hips) even though I developed and got curves really fast. I've been using a belly butter (with macadamia nut, mango and cocoa butters in it) and it does keep my belly skin really soft - but I've read there isn't much evidence to show moisturizing helps avoid stretch marks, so who knows.

I really believe a lot of stretch marks are determined by genetics. My mom has four kids and no stretch marks.

That's what I've heard, too.  My mom had two kids and didn't get any, but the women on my dad's side do seem to get them.

I don't think my mom (head shorted than me, really petite) has ever had a stretch mark in her life, lucky woman ROTFLMAO.gifThe one time she's seen my stretch marks as they were coming in, in the red itchy stage, she was completely horrified by them - gee, great way to make me self conscious.

I haven't gotten any yet (28 weeks) but I know I still have 3 months to get some! LOL. I guess a lot of it has to do with collagen, so I have been eating lots of gelatin containing foods and also rubbing my belly and boobs with coconut oil.

I got 4 with my first, a ton with my second, none with my third, a few with my fourth, and this time I honestly don't know if any are new or not, I've stopped paying attention. Lol

I have more than a few on my boobs and hips but they are very light, not purple, they are the color of my skin and only really noticeable when sunlight hits them. Non on my belly during either of my 2 pregnancies. So far no new ones from what I can tell and my belly skin feels really loose so far especially when I lie down. I am hoping to keep what I have and not add too many more orngtongue.gif
