~Weekly Chat Thread for June 15th-21st~ - Page 4
somegirl : so sorry about the shingles pain! I hope it resolves quickly.
I hope those of you who are potty training that it goes smoothly.
Wow, it seems crazy far along that some of you are already 35 weeks! That's awesome, though.
my ultrasound went well. Both babies are still measuring ahead. Still on bedrest lying on my side but another day with them inside and I'll take it. I'm feeling more optimistic now even though I know none of us know the future I feel pretty good about where I am right now and absolutely love my NP and my OB is great, too so that is helping.
Glad your ultrasound went well Edelweiss. :) I've started having the weird pregnancy induced dreams again. The last 3 mornings I've woken up grumpy at my DH for the things he's done in my dreams. Like signing up to be a Pam.pered Ch.ef consultant without telling me, and then being late for his first party at our house after I had successfully gathered 47 people. (Note, I probably would host a party if I could gather 47 people!)
I much prefer the silly weird dreams to the "I'm bleeding" or something's wrong with the baby dreams.
I have one week left of work and like you Carmen I. Am. READY! I wasn't a few weeks ago, but yesterday I was totally stressed about some project and today I realized: why? Ready for July and my family's 4-day vacation to a resort with a spa and a lazy river. Ahhh! Plus, I am ready to stop worrying about work stuff and nest in earnest.
I'm also ready to stop having random people I cross paths with in my office building give me a bug-eyed "OMG, please don't have that baby this minute in front of me" look. Am I that big? It feels like it, but I could be bigger, I think...
I had an OB appointment today and despite gorging myself on not high-quality foods the last few days, I lost a pound. Everything is measuring/looking/sounding good though. My doctor :"Just keep doing what you're doing..."
Me: "Eating junk food and waking up all night with bone-crushing leg/foot/ankle cramps? Will do!"
Glad to hear of good news and good check-ups. You aren't exactly to good news Paula, but since you're braving shingles like a champ and on the road to recovery, I'm going to lump you with that group.
So I've been fighting a cold since Monday morning; nothing big, just coughing, sneezing (plus associated bladder leaks ), sore throat and feeling a bit run down. Then last night I woke up at 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I felt all bloated and nauseated, and around 3:30 had a big vomit. Then I had diarrhea on and off and drank some water and tried to eat a few very tiny morsels to keep the nausea at bay. Around 6 I vomited again, plus had more diarrhea and low pains - mostly feeling like punches with maybe a little ligament stuff thrown in. I'm a wee bit concerned (35w 1d) so will touch base with the MW practice. I don't really have stomach flu symptoms, it felt more like the incessant pooping in early labour with DD. Will update soon. Luckily my mom is picking up DD in a few minutes so if we need to run for a test or make a clinic/ER visit, DH can take me. Ugh; I'm so done!!! But also don't want baby to come too early lol.
skycheat - I hope it's some sort of germ and not pre-term labor stuff. I hope your MW is able to figure out what's going on.
Crafty - I hope your last week of work goes well. I just went on medical LOA (unpaid/no benefits). I'm kind of glad to have some time of people not bugging me about when I'm due.
