Gene Mutation Found in my Family

It was discovered there is a gene mutation, MTHFR,   in my family, and it has to do with metabolism, and how the body processes artificial ingredients...i remember my grandfather had stomach issues too....i have always had stomach issues, and since i cut the crap outta the diet, and went whole foods/organic, i have no problems...when i cheat, i have problems.  I can't help but wonder what other mutations of genes like this are out there, and how it affects absorption of vaccine ingredients in some children.  Makes me ever happier my kids are unvaxed.  I also think it could be the reason i am extremely allergic to so many pharmaceuticals...no one i know has the allergies i do to their products..pretty much everything they produce, i have a problem with.  I always wondered, when i would read the study about whatever drug, and it would say, less than 5 out of 1000people have a problem with this drug--that's me-always the one in the less than 5 who has problems....maybe it's the reason i couldn't tolerate milk as an infant, or chocolate when i was young, or the foods i cannot tolerate still.

Makes me wonder what other kinds of mutations are out there, and how this mutation would affect a vaccine recipient.

Ha, my ND gave me paperwork tonight to get the blood test done because she highly suspects this with me as well!  Funny how it explains soooo many issues I've had in the past and even now! I did read somewhere it's more common in certain ethnicities - Irish and Danish being amongst them and I've got both of those in me, German was another (DH is a good portion German) so there is a serious likelihood DD also has the mutation which totally explains her bizarre oat allergy following her 2nd and final round of vaxes and her sensitivity to acetaminophen that the ND pinpointed at 9 mos (even though she's never had any meds).  Definitely feel like these thing could have major impact on vaccines and who knows how many of these mutations are out there.

This mutation means that one has issues processing certain amino acids. Not sure what you mean by "artificial ingredients"
