Some of you know this because I posted in our Facebook group, but Southern Alberta is getting devastated by flooding. We got evacuated (though we are home now, and we were lucky to come home to a totally dry house). My frustration is that this is one of the worst disasters in Canadian history and the US news outlets aren't covering it. I know plenty of Americans would offer donations and support if they only KNEW what was happening here.
If you could spread the word on Facebook and Twitter and such, it would be fantastic. I wrote about our story plus summed up what's happening on my blog (which is linked in my profile). But you can also google 2013 Alberta Flood or 2013 Calgary Flood for info.
Baby boy was unusually easy to care for while we were sheltering with strangers in their house (Calgarians have opened their homes to evacuees). He slept better than he almost ever does. Very grateful for that too.
