I'm sick with a particularly bad cough and don't think I even got a 4-hour block the whole night. There was no chance to nap and quite frankly-- not much opportunity at all for that lately with DHs work schedule and DD not napping anymore. I also seem to notice myself staying up (like right now!) instead of going to sleep because my brain screams "your freeeeee!" once everyone is asleep.
What can I do? DH can't put DD to sleep during the week, she's going to bed SO late. Like past 11pm some nights. It just doesn't work. DD ends up whining for me, DH caves and I get woken up. Unfair I know but it's the way it is. She prefers me with sleep.
I need tips to get the best sleep possible. Do you ladies take any supplements? Do you have sleeping arrangements with your DH/DP so you all get more sleep? I like the family bed and hate making DH goes somewhere else. We have a twin next to our queen.
Waking up at night a lot is such an issue for me, then the brain won't turn off and allow me to go back to sleep. The only thing I've tried is rescue remedy and I find it does nothing. Which makes me sad. I was thinking about taking L-Theanine but it's not studied in pregnancy so I'm too chicken.
