The Saner TTC-Rose Moon - Page 6post #101 of 1767/8/13 at 9:38ampost #102 of 1767/8/13 at 10:21amThread Starterpost #103 of 1767/8/13 at 11:22amscjp - I'm sorry about AF. I'm glad she was kind enough to let you to enjoy some swimming first. Are you temping this new cycle? You might like it.
oxford - Best wishes for a spectacular sperm analysis. Have all your labs come back? If so,I hope they came back with great numbers, and that your ultrasound(s) were textbook perfect. To answer your question, I'm a mama of four. Three by birth, and one by adoption. My first two were conceived with help, and my youngest was a huge surprise. He came along nine years after my last pregnancy. He's why I'm TTC again. I want to give him a sibling nearer to his age since his three sisters are so much older than him. He's 19 months and they are 13, 10, and 8 years. If I am successful, this will be my last baby.
marquess - Sounds like a rough weekend. I'm glad your hubs was around to help you deal with everything that went wrong. I know he's leaving before you expect to O, but maybe you'll get lucky with some waiting spermies? Wishful thinking and all that. Maybe this is a good cycle to relax and find your happy place.
chourd - You seem very chill this cycle. Excellent. I hope your zen carries you through O time and in into the TWW. This is your week for O? I'm rooting for you!
pepperedmoth - That's a busy weekend! Sounds stressful and relaxing at the same time. The silver lining is that keeping busy makes the TWW go by quickly, and that's always a good thing. Personally, I tend to go by the majority of my symptoms rather than the exact day of a thermal shift. I consider the shift to be a confirmation of what I already know. That said, use the shift as the marker of when I begin to count my dpo. It keeps me from testing way too early.
primal - It would be awesome if you catch an egg this cycle. And if it doesn't end up happening, I like that you have a plan in place for your future. Smart move.
faithrising - Sorry about the BFN and the beastly AF. At least you didn't have to deal with that while in NYC. Would have been rough. Yay for your kitten. I haven't snorgled a kitten belly in years. Give him/her a snuggle and ear scritches for me.
Well everyone, it looks like our little tribe had a bust month. That can only mean that this cycle has better odds for us. We couldn't possibly have two dud months in a row.
AFM - CD12. I had an ultrasound this morning to check my uterine lining and to see if I have any follicles, and, if so, how big they are. It went well. My lining is great, and I have two follies at the right size. Tonight, I will do a trigger shot to release the eggs out of those follies, and do one last old-fashioned BD. Then early Wednesday morning it will be IUI time. I'm excited and super nervous. What if it doesn't work? Oh, I hope it does! I only get so many chances to do this, so every cycle counts!post #104 of 1767/8/13 at 1:37pm
Oh, what kind of IUD, Primal? I had the copper one for years and I LOVED it. It was just perfect for me. Hope you have a good experience, too!
Faith, I am sooooo sorry about AF. I was hoping this would be your cycle. BUT KITTENS!!! I have two cats myself. I'm with Prescott --- I demand pictures!
MamaBlue, I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Let us know how it goes! Let Wednesday be the day that sperm and egg meet!
Edited by pepperedmoth - 7/8/13 at 2:12pmpost #105 of 1767/8/13 at 3:03pmpost #106 of 1767/8/13 at 5:41pmMamablue -- I am so excited for you this cycle! I am so rooting for you to be our next BFP!
Faith -- A kitten is an excellent comfort prize. I wish I could get one every time I was feeling bummed about TTC (although maybe not, because that's a lot of cats),
Chuord -- I'm glad you got to get away and clear your head. The ocean is wonderful for finding some peace and perspective. I took my family right after the miscarriage, and it really helped all of us.
Pepperedmoth -- I'm getting Mirena. I've had it several times before with good results; I tried the copper IUD first but had to have it removed due to heavy bleeding. I like Mirena because there's nothing to remember on a daily basis, and the hormone made my period (and more importantly, my PMS!) disappear while I had it.
AFM -- I'm feeling more convinced that waiting is the right choice for us, and I'm even able to feel positively about the freedoms that come with not having a baby in the house. I am feeling some grief at the same time, though, when I think about not being pregnant when my missed due date comes around. I'm sad about that, and I am scared of waiting only to found I've waited too long. I really do want another child. I really do.
As far as this cycle goes, it is CD 11 for me, and I typically O on either 11 or 12. BD on CD 8 and 10, with EWCM on CD 10, so, yeah, timing-wise, it could happen. I also have an appointment for July 30 to have my IUD placed, so there you go. Yes, this is what TTC confliction looks like. If it doesn't happen this month, I guess I'll be back round in 2016 while you are all chasing your toddlers and thinking about the next one, maybe.
And speaking of toddlers, someone found mom's shoes...post #107 of 1767/8/13 at 6:30pmI'm horrid with personals. Fair warning. Opk still negative, but starting to see ferning and a little ECM. Like I said, prob sometime this week. we BD just after midnight so fingers crosse. If not, will be on a break til mid aug. it's fine. I need to have my tests done and I have to get my carpal tunnel surgery out of the way, at least one of them anyway.
Kittens huh. Well I took in a stray a few waeeks ago to catch the random mice in my kitchen...she's pretty, and sadly very deaf (as most all white catswith blue eyes are). And of course...she's pg too. I'm a dog person. The cat was supposed to catch mice and be useful. But she can't hear and she's gonna have kittens. I'm a dog person, just sayin. Vet said via palpating there r at least 3, with a poss 4th. Fingers crossed for just 3. I of course would hope that they are pretty so I can find them homes easily. Maybe they are part Persian and will have adorable squish faces. Or be polydactyl(mitten kittens with extra toes...their feet look like snowshoes) or even better, hairless. I have cresties and adore hairless pets they r due any minute now. Wish they were as easy to predict as dogs.
Ok, gotta put so,e twins to bedpost #108 of 1767/8/13 at 8:15pmpost #109 of 1767/9/13 at 1:45pm
Primal, that's an adorable toddler picture! It makes my heart melt. I love kids-in-grownup-shoes pics for some reason . . . Also, enjoy that Mirena! Many friends of mine have loved it, too . . .
Marquess, good luck on the kittens! If I lived near you I'm sure I'd be tempted, but we already have two (we're DEFINITELY cat people over here . . .)
I'm trying not to symptom-spot on 7 DPO (maybe 9 DPO). Been nauseous since yesterday, breast pain on and off, fatigued . . . but none of this is abnormal for me during this part of my cycle! Nausea, especially --- I'm almost ALWAYS nauseous in the morning, since I was a little girl. Never wanted to eat breakfast because I was queasy. It drove my mom nuts. (It also drove me nuts in my pre TTC years, especially when I'd complain about it and everyone would be all, "oooooohhh, are you pregnant?" NO! NO I AM NOT!)post #110 of 1767/10/13 at 2:24am
pepperedmoth got my fx for you this week!
marquess we are having similar timing issues! It sucks...
I am on cd12 here, temping and using the ovulation tests, very faint line today. I am feeling very anxious and discouraged about this cycle because the timing is so bad! dp is now going to be away for a long weekend from friday-sunday which is cd 14-17 and I usually O between cd 16-19.
So now I'm panicking as the day dp is home which is cd 17 it could be too late if I O before cd 17! I can only hope I O at the later end of my usual cycle or I won't even be able to try this month!
Then again I wonder because last month we tried on the exact day before O perfect timing and I didn't get pregnant.
Good luck to everyone else stressing out with timing issues!

(And it rhymes!!)
I bet DH was walking a little taller tonight after his hero of the day award! ;-)
CD8 over here. We are going to try with less BD this month and go for 2-3 times a week as the doc recommended this to optimise sperm quality. Don't know if that may help you ladies with timing and geography challenges- maybe the reduced frequency of BD will matter less if you quality goes up?? Good luck anyway.
There seems to be a few of us approaching O or chasing that egg. Happy BD-ing!!post #114 of 1767/10/13 at 3:10pmpost #115 of 1767/10/13 at 8:07pmOn cd 7 and we are gonna start dd everyday see what happens I have never done it every day lol I'm usually too tired or cranky hehe lol so I'm gonna see if maybe this works we usually don't do it much which I hate I'm just not ever In the mood which sucks:( but wish us luck cuz I wanna a April baby!!!post #116 of 1767/10/13 at 8:22pmThread Starterpost #117 of 1767/11/13 at 5:46ampost #118 of 1767/11/13 at 7:50am
CD15 here, but based on previous cycles, I think O is still about a week off. Not the best timing, as most of my fertile days are going to be work days, but I can't complain, since that's nothing compared to those dealing with more major BD obstacles! I'm just ready for bed when I get home, and especially after the kids have managed to get to bed.
I'm trying guafenesin this cycle. BD really obscures my CM, but I'm getting the impression on non-BD days that I'm not making as much as I used to, and it seems like a simple thing to try.post #119 of 1767/11/13 at 8:15ampost #120 of 1767/11/13 at 10:33am
mamablue good luck and congrats on the sperm count, always nice to have that part over with and know your timing was great, nothing to do now but wait!
cd 13 here, my opk test had a fainter line than yesterday, so I'm pleased it wasn't any darker yet as I need O to hold off until Tuesday preferably, cd 18.
Hoping for perfect timing for everyone trying in the next few days, there are a few of us nearing that point! I'll be relaxed once O is over and if timing goes well....until then I'm stressed about it.
