Hoping it starts soon for you! I remember that disappointment all too well!

Hugs, mama! I went to 41+1 with my first and it was awful! She was an August baby so I had the heat to deal with too! I hope it happens soon for you!!

YES. We aren't going to church this week because the comments started getting almost obnoxious! I had a hard time not crying!!

I'm 39 weeks today. To be honest, I'm surprised baby isn't here since my last two were early. Up until this evening, I wasn't having a hard time with it though. Then baby shifted and now I'm miserable. Sitting hurts but standing makes me dizzy. Lying down is ok...until I have to roll over. Blah. Any day now baby!

My EDD is tomorrow. I'm hoping he comes sooner than later, because this is the most uncomfortable I have ever been. My first was induced at 38weeks, my second came the day before her EDD, and my third was born at 42w5d, and I've never hurt this much. I was pretty uncomfortable with the last, but he was 11lb7oz. Everyone asks how I could've given birth to him, and I always say that wasn't the hard part. The hard part was carrying him in my womb that long.  I'm feeling like this guy is around the same size.

I have been measuring 2 weeks ahead, consistently, and I'm pretty tired of the looks and nearly audible gasps I get from strangers. lol  It will be soon, though. I mean, no baby has ever stayed in forever, right? orngbiggrin.gif

I think I got a little ahead of myself too, because of all the baby-having energy early in the month! I keep telling myself-- you're going to be one of the last ones. It's ok. It's not a race! But then I see another "___ is here!" thread and I just get so happy and excited for the new parents that it floods on over to my hopes.

I also LOVE telling people I am due "any day now" although I know it's more likely to go 2 weeks past than 2 weeks early. I am feeling really social, but not very mobile. The bucket car seats are like torture right now.

I just realized I'm 10 days away from my due date. That makes me happy because I still have a lot to do at home before the baby comes. It's been super rainy this week but I am also craving more exercise.

I'll be 40 weeks in three days. According to my dates. The ultrasound dated me at 40 on July 4th. Hah.
I actually wouldn't mind going to or past my dates if it wasn't for the CONSTANT prodromal labor. It's driving me crazy.

Maybe this baby is waiting for my birthday. That's in three days too. Sigh. Maybe this baby is never coming out.

I've been wondering how much of the variance in when (healthy) babies come is due to dates being off, and how much is due to natural variance. It seems like most women who go over by more than a week also have issues with their dates being fuzzy or their cycles being long or irregular and so not fitting the formula that's used.

I am 100% confident that my dates are right because I was charting, my cycles are very regular and usually 27-28 days long, my early ultrasound confirmed my dates exactly (doc seemed really pleased by this... is it rare?), and my fundal measurements have been literally exactly the norm the whole time.

Could that make it more likely that I'll be within my DD by just a few days rather than weeks than if measurements and dates had been erratic?

I should have mentioned this speculation to DH before he and his co-workers started taking bets on when he'll be called out to attend my labor! There's a whole $10 on the line ;), and I think he bet on early August...

I'm 40w4d now (with definitely accurate dates) and baby isn't giving signs of showing up (unless being majorly uncomfortable counts--and the Braxton Hix that hit every afternoon).

40 weeks today!! Definitely looks like I'm going into August, but it still feels SO EXCITING to reach this milestone. I though the day would never come!!

40 weeks today or yesterday depending on which date you go which. Looks like I'll be with Cynthiamoon and go into August.

Congrats cynthiamoon and rainbownurse on reaching the 40-week milestone! Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer :)

I didn't see this until today, but I wanted to add my anecdotal info: I am also 100% confident about my dates -- charting, regular cycles for years. I also had my dates confirmed exactly by early ultrasound and 20 week ultrasound. I've also been right on with fundal measurements (at least until she dropped a few weeks ago). And yet here I am at 41+5, still waiting!! I really thought the same thing about fuzzy numbers and longer pregnancies. Feeling pretty humbled by that at this point....

Yeah, I saw your post about that. I think in the "still waiting" thread. So much for thinking we knew what was going on... :-)

100% confident in my due date last time and I went to 42 weeks before being induced.  Same with this time (I charted and had an early dating ultrasound) which both said July 23rd and I'm 41 weeks.  Some women just take longer to gestate.

If anything, my charting said I was 43 weeks with #1, it was the early dating ultrasound that made everyone  think I was just 42 weeks.

I think it's because in every book/article whatever I read about induction, the first thing they say is that you might have dates wrong, so it makes it seem like that's the reason for the illusion later babies. Oh well.
