I'm pretty sure I'm feeling the baby move!! I'm 13 weeks along, 3rd baby and I know it's early but I'm pretty sure! Anyone else feeling their baby move yet?
I'm 12 weeks and I swear I feel movement every once in awhile. Just a tiny flutter. Maybe it is all in my head and just wishful thinking, but it doesn't feel like gas at all to me. lol I feel like I know my body pretty well and notice a little bitty flutter. My sister just makes fun of me but oh well. I wouldn't be surprised at all if you are feeling movement with this being your third. I kind of feel its the same way with looking pregnant. I have a little bump that to me looks pregnant but everyone else It just looks like I'm gaining weight, Which is fine because we haven't told many people yet... I can't wait for the strong movements that come awhile down the road. I've been so nervous with this pregnancy with losing my last two babies that I would love to have that reassurance all the time.
I'm definitely getting sensations, new and different from usual tummy feelings.
It's very exciting!!!
I had a few people (mostly men) saying its not possible to feel anything so early, but I disagree, I think that it must be possible to feel something growing and moving inside my womb. I'm quite sensitive so I think I'm definitely in tune with my body.
Hope you are all feeling good / better this week; I'm not over the morning sickness yet but hopeful it is easing up!
I've been getting a few flutters too. I've felt each of my babies "too early", then as my girls got bigger and stronger I ended up with bruised ribs. I think with such active babies, it is not beyond the pale to allow for feeling of movement. I'm certain they bump into the "walls" from time to time.
I started feeling flutters around 12-13 weeks. This is my second pregnancy so I am not surprised I felt it earlier than last time. With my first pregnancy I didn't feel movement until 16 weeks. Like mcimom said, this is also my favorite part of pregnancy. I remember missing it within hours of having my first one. I am going to savor every moment of this pregnancy!
I have felt what I thought was baby moving - little flutters - for a number of weeks now, but kind of wrote them off. Then starting last week I found that if I stayed quiet and focused on relaxing, I could feel what felt like throbbing or heavy throbbing (not painful) that I'm pretty sure was movement. But last night for the first time I felt an honest to goodness little kick! I put DP's hand on my belly right away and we both felt the next one! Super exciting as I'm only 16.5 and most of my symptoms disappeared about a month ago so I've been having the 'is everything alright/am i really pregnant' normal pregnancy fretting for the last while. Also didn't feel any movement with my first until 20 weeks. As others have said, I think this is the BEST part of pregnancy!
Yay! LLtheTinkerbell, that is so exciting! I'm still in the "little flutters I could maybe write off" phase, but yesterday I had my first Braxton-Hicks. I'd just woken up and all of a sudden there was this hard little ball in my belly--my husband could feel it from the outside. After about 30 seconds it went back to normal. Not exactly movement, but any "Oh wow this is real" signs are fun.
A question for you all, especially moms of several kids. I felt movement starting at 14w5d (this is my second). Now I'm 16w4d and for the past several days I've been feeling a lot less movement. Is there any non-worrisome reason why movement would become harder to feel, or baby would become less active, so early in the second trimester? I don't feel like calling my midwife about it, because I really don't want to set a precedent this early where she thinks I am an anxious worrier and has doubts about my ability to birth relaxedly. I need her to have faith in me. So I'd rather be an anxious worrier here. :) Any ideas?
Pomegranate- Have you been busier the last few days? I'm 18 weeks tomorrow (this is my second as well) and I still only feel movement when I am sitting still. When I am busy I either don't notice it or feel it or whatever. So I normally only feel the baby in the evening when I am relaxing from the day. You are still feeling movement right?!? Just not as much? I personally think as long as you feel some movement sometimes then there isn't anything to worry about. I felt a lot more movement last week than I have this week, but I am still feeling movement so I'm not worried! Good luck to you though! Sorry I don't have any medical explanations!
Tspencer, that's a good question. I have been pretty busy this week, but even when I was still there was much less movement - like I could go a whole day and feel maybe one little jab. So I don't know why it was like that. Maybe because the baby's still so small that it found some nice distant corner of the uterus to hang out in? The good thing is that tonight I've been feeling lots of swimming around. It's such a relief. I think part of why I worried was because my midwife gave me such a weird look when she listened to the baby and said that the baby was unusually active, kind of as if there was something wrong with that. Which planted the thoughts in my mind 1) that maybe there's something wrong in general and 2) that my baby's normal state is super active so when it slowed down a lot there must be a problem. Thanks for your reassurance!
