Ds 8 wants to make his own website, he says he wants to be about science :) Does anyone know about free sites and tutorials that could help us do that?

Many thanks!

Anna used this site: https://www.yola.com/

There are free and pay options.  It is an easy to use site because it has a lot of templates that you can use to create your site.  Anna was 9 when she created her site and did so mostly on her own.  It is meant for 13 and up.  We were honest about her age and they required me to "approve her use" for it to be publised.  You could just make the account in your name though to save yourself the hassle.

I have no idea if this is the "best" one out there; it probably isn't.  It did the trick for her though!

One of my sons made a blog on edublogs.org - he was about 8 or 9 at the time.  It was very easy and they walk you through the whole process.

My son has made some using Wordpress-- free and easy to use, with lots of cool templates to make it look fancy. No coding required. Here is a science one he made using wordpress when he was six or seven: http://knssciencefacts.wordpress.com/
