I'm 8 wks pregnant with twins. Been having morning sickness & intermittent all day nausea since week 6 but never vomited.
Last night I made dinner, beans and rice and a sugar-snap pea miso-ginger salad and about an hour and a half after we ate I started feeling unwell. Husband felt fine. I have spent the last twelve hours vomiting up everything and dry heaving/bringing up bile. No sleep and I still feel sick but haven't heaved since 5:30am. Husband went to work at 5 (was up with me all night) and I'm alone here and I feel so awful. I need help/advice.
1) How did I give myself food poisoning with beans and rice and salad? The salad dressing had sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, almond butter (sub for tahini), miso, honey, ginger and garlic. The salad itself was cabbage, sugar snap peas and radishes. The beans were black beans and the rice was plain white rice. I did cook some onions and jalepeños with the beans but I always do that.
2) I didn't have the sweats, chills, diarrhea and abdominal cramps that normally come with food poisoning but I don't think this could possibly have been pregnancy related throwing up ... or could it?
3) I normally have to eat something right away when I wake up to keep morning sickness away but right now I just can't... I have saltines and a glass of water near me but I can't bear to eat anything right now so I am feeling ill from last night and morning sick too.
What did I do to myself? What do I do now? I feel so sick I just want to cry.
