Edelweiss - there always seems to be a summer bug floating around. It was a stomach one here, I hope DD feels better and you don't get it too. I am impressed with your good attitude about bed rest. I am down for one day and become a total mess (see below).
Calladonna - YES, NAP!
Crafty - wow that lady was rude. I am sorry for her struggle but she also doesn't know YOUR struggle. Complain all you want.
I am laid up with my back again. The chiro was very helpful the first couple of days but by lunchtime today I could barely walk and the sciatic pain was shooting down my leg. Thank goodness I have another appt tomorrow, it's exactly why he wanted to see me so soon again in case this happened. Luckily DH has been wonderful and has kept me in bed all day and trying to keep the girls occupied.
I have been a blubbery crying mess though. I was so scared I will be laid up like this until I deliver, I won't be able to have a natural birth, I will have to have MIL take the girls for a month, I am ruining everyone's summer and maybe I am just being a wimp about it all and need to suck it up. Then DH reminded me I am 8 months pregnant, have yet to slow down at all, and it is just one day to a week (hopefully) of being out of commission. He also said maybe I NEED to slow down and stop trying to go full speed all the time. I know he's right and that's what my body is telling me. And although it is not ideal, maybe having MIL take them for a couple of weeks before my EDD is what I need despite my concerns. I have two more chiro appointments this week and I am praying he can at least fix me to the point where laboring won't be an issue. I can't imagine dealing with this pain AND the pain of labor. It will make all of their summer's just not mine. We will need some serious ground rules about TV and diet though. Ok, I am done whining for a now.
On a positive note, I got to pour through some of our homeschool curriculum and begin planning for the fall, I got a nap, and some crocheting done which were all very relaxing. My 3 yo also caused a new house rule today - "No throwing cats at mommy." - Yup, she thought the kitten would make me feel better, very cute and hilarious (though not so much for the cat!) Our house rules keep getting stranger.
