Hi mamas! I'm Jen and found out yesterday I'm 8 1/2 weeks along--due 3/22. We have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter who we are weaning (sort of) and we've been talking about trying for a second. Surprise. wink1.gif I feel kind of lucky to have been so clueless the past month and a half--saved myself some worry--I'm 40 and a natural worrier. I was attributing the fatigue and mild nausea to co sleeping with a restless toddler. wink1.gif
Still trying to wrap my brain around the news but overall feeling very grateful to be in the club!
Congrats to you all!

Hi Jen! Congrats on your bfp! Exhaustion is definitely part of parenting a toddler!

I just turned 34, and expecting #3 sometime in March. We already have DD (who will be 8 in March) and DS (5 in December).

As you may be able to tell from my screen name (heh), I'm a bit of a fanatic of all things birthy. I joined MDC a couple of years before DD was born--I'm a doula and pregnancy massage therapist and a retired LLL leader, with lifelong dreams of becoming a midwife eventually. DD was going to be a homebirth, but circumstances with her health required a c-section at 37 weeks instead. DS was born at home, during a rare Seattle-area snowstorm, on Christmas morning. Planning on another homebirth this time around.

Hi Ladies, unfortunately today I found out I had a miscarriage. The baby stopped growing at 5 weeks 4 days and I should of just hit my 8 week mark. I am so sad and disappointed by this news. I wish I could of continued on with this Journey with you ladies but unfortunately my time in the March 2014 has come to a end too soon. I wish you ladies lots of luck and hope you all have healthy and happy babies.

Hopefully I will be in another due date club soon enough...

Hi, can you join two DDCs?

I'm in the February DDC but I'm due the 28th... I don't think I'll be giving birth in February.
This is my fifth. We're homeschooling, homebirthing crunchy folk living in urban Northern California.

What else? I have hyperemesis and its not better yet, although if previous pregnancies are an indicator I should be better soon. I'm on zofran and barely functioning.

I'm 12 weeks. I'm thinking March 2nd.

Welcome, Tabitha! Of course you can join. I got an EDD of Feb 28th based on my cycles and just assumed that I would birth in March. (Then when I saw the midwife she gave me an EDD of March 1st--and I figured, why not take the extra day?)

So, welcome welcome! Sorry that you are so sick; glad that there may be an end in sight.

I'm a bit late joining the party. I'm Sarah, 39 years old and 12 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. My existing children are 8, 5 and just turned 2. We've been travelling for the last six weeks so I wasn't able to join until now. I don't get much computer time so I haven't been on MDC much in the last few years. I'm a phone girl these days. Have things changed with mobile accessibility?

I'm looking forward to reading back and getting to know you all. I hope that there's some way that I can get access so that I'll be able to participate regularly.

Their mobile app works fine on my galaxy, better than Facebook anyway.

And welcome to all our new faces smile.gif

Thanks very much. I just bought TapaTalk 4, which is currently on sale for $1, and installed it and it seems to be working well. So I'm on board!

Hi ladies! So happy to join you all and congrats! I'm hoping I'm not jumping the gun by joining so soon as I have no official due date. So far all arrows are pointing at me being due in March 2014. My educated guess is that I am between 7 and 11 weeks. (Waiting on a call from midwife to hopefully get and actual due date.) This will be surprise #3 for us (and our last). I also have DS who is 7 and DD who is 3. I'm 26, married to my love for 4 years this September. I'm hoping to do this pregnancy and birth as naturally as I can. :)

Hello everyone!  My name is Sarah and I live in SW Florida.  I am about 10-11 weeks, with child #3.  I have 2 sons, who are 9 & 7, and have had 3 losses between my 7 year old and this babe.  I am super happy to be here, and looking forward to sharing this journey with you all.

Hi there! My husband(30) and I(28) are thrilled to be expecting our first child...this has been an amazing journey so far.  Neither of us have much practical experience with babies, as we are both only children.  I think this has made the whole thing even more amazing, and left our minds more open to new parenting ideas.  We both come from very traditional Midwestern families, so I anticipate some challenging interactions with family regarding our plans for natural parenting...all-natural birth, cloth diapers, making our own baby food, extended breastfeeding, and so on.  We'll see how that goes!  I'm very glad to have this community of like-minded women to talk to!

I am so excited about this new adventure of parenthood, and looking forward to joining all of you in some great discussions and support as the months go by!

Hello Moms!

Never thought I'd find my 40 year old self on a new Mom forum. This baby is a huge surprise for my husband and I - and everyone we know - as my husband had a vasectomy about 8 years ago. We have a 12 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. They are both very excited about a new baby, as are we, now that the shock has worn off a bit. I work as a software trainer for teachers for the local public school board so hopefully I can get the hang of this forum business fairly quickly :)

I just had my first appointment with the same midwife I had with our son, she was slightly surprised to see me :) She is amazing though and I am planning another home birth as I had with the first two. I have to say that both experience were the two most amazing events in my life and I'm looking forward to another. I'm due March 8 - but that could change slightly as I was not keeping very good record of my dates...why would I? :) I might know more at my 18 wk ultrasound...didn't have an ultrasound with either of the first two but I think I would like to with this one. How neat will it be to show the kids?!

Well, better get back to work! Looking forward to the journey!
