Potty training issues - Page 2
thanks-! He is definitely progressing but just resistant to pooping in the pottt still- stubborn three yr old won't sit on it even with books-- we are getting better though and really I think once he starts preschool and sees that all his classmates poop in the potty he will have less resistance
wanted to update that ds is now fully potty trained- pee and poop!!! yay! He has been so for maybe two weeks now. About a month into being in preschool he had his first stretch of pooping in the potty like 6 days in a row and then he has just done it every day since then! He is 3 and a 1/2.

I know! Now he is 100% potty trained and the cloth dipes are sitting in the closet ready to be passed on! He doesn't even wear them to bed anymore. And it is funny cause now Iread threads with 2.5 yr olds or young 3 yr olds still potty learning and I think, just relax it will happen in its own time--- just cause I remember being like- omg he is three- and he still asks for a diaper to poop-- but now at 3 and a 1/2 he is fully potty trained-- and dh and I just decided to b pretty relaxed about it- we didn't pressure ds too much. It was simply him starting preschool and getting socialized that made him want to do it. Like I said, he was fully pee trained by three but it took almost 6 more months for the poop trained. I think offering the potty but not stressing about it to them is the best option- gently offer and remind, but if they still need the diapers then just let them have it and keep gently reminding over time and they will soon get it-!
