she used to say shnonape for "tomate" (tomato in German). I miss that!
Lately she's been asking for roller-cakes, which took us a while to figure out. She meant a scooter, but confused that with roller skates...
Mine said "nooh" for nurse for quite some time, then she figured out how to say "nurse" but I thought the other version was so cute! And she still hasn't figured out the second D in Daddy, so it's Daa-ey. But we were playing with a little boy named Noah and she tried to put too many consonants in his name and called him Nona.
My 2.5yo says "bint-bint" for "elephant". And "stah belluh-belluh" for "strawberry".
My 3.5yo calls Five Guys "Fries Guys" and invented the phrase "hand-mouth" for tongs (you know, because you hold them in your hand and they open and close like a mouth).
Neither of them can say "molasses"-- the older one says "mah-gass-es" and the younger says "lull-ass-uh".
