Lol, I was going to edit it and say not to quote me in case I wanted to delete it. It seems like a lot of women resort to it on the Hyperemesis boards. I know if those moms on those boards hadn't suggested it or admitted it I would have been on so many meds that weren't even working well! I know more studies have been done on mmj than the meds I was being prescribed.

I was prescribed 3 different nausea meds, an anti depressant(to increase appetite), 2 different steroids, pain meds, and probably stuff I dont remember at this point.

I don't believe in prenatals

I eat raw fruits and veggies most everyday

I sleep on my back

I take Hot baths to soothe sciatica

Eaten soft cheeses including cheese dip

I don't know if this is a no no but it just feels wrong sometimes.. Sleeping on the baby, like sleeping on my right side when I can feel the baby on my right side? Just feels weird to feel it kicking underneath me.

Being around someone who is physically abusive is not a pregnancy "no-no".  It's a life no-no.  I hope for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your baby you seek out help and support for your situation.

Hands, please take care of yourself first! Consider the safety of your baby once it's born and make the decision that is safe and right for you!

Don't put up with that, handthathold. You wouldn't want harm to come to your baby after birth, would you? Then you shouldn't let harm come to the baby OR you right now. Please, get out and get help.

Better late than never, right?

And I agree with everyone else, handsthathold, get yourself and your baby to a safe situation.

Oh man. I'm committing this prego no-no and probably wont ever give it up: COFFEE.

I do wish I could just have decaf, but I just can't do it. It doesn't taste same. I figure watering it way down (with water) and with extra half and half or sweetended condensed milk (!!!) makes it a little better right? And I only ever have about 10-12oz total in a day. I'd have it ALL day if I could. I am even craving coffee ice cream. It's my husbands very very favorite thing so he's happy but then, *sigh* I realize, there is caffine in the ice cream too. bawling.gif

Have you ladies ever read or see this AMAZING goddess of cooking on Food Network? I'm in love with her! This is the greatest post on cold-brewing coffee and I'm making a batch right now:

So freaking PERFECT for summer right? It's getting me through this last trimester ladies.

Tilly, I'm a big coffee drinker and I've steadily drank it through every pregnancy. I try to stick to two cups a day max, but sometimes I have a third. And occasionally another in the evening. I don't like anything coffee flavored that isn't hot coffee, though, so cold coffee drinks & coffee ice cream, etc, are all safe from me, lol.

But yeah, it's a vice I haven't conquered either. smile.gif

Ive had to stop drinking coffee for the first trimester of both pregnancies because it made me sick. But once that wore off i always go right back to it. I limit myself to one cup in the morning (instead of the 3-4 that I would otherwise have!) but often will have a fancy coffee drink in the afternoon if i happen to be in the city near a Starbucks or Tim Hortons.

Without my coffee Im a stress case and Im constantly exhausted. So I figure that one or two cups of coffee a day is better for the baby than the constant stress when I try to abstain!

I love this thread! I too have gotten the 'i can't believe you do that" when talking to other pregnant women.

I eat 2 sunny side up eggs every day

I eat lunch meat (I usually cook it though, b/c i like it hot).

I have 2-3 glasses of wine with dinner a week (though some weeks I have none).

I have 2 cups of coffee every day.

I sleep on my back.

I jog a couple of 10 min miles on my treadmill (though now that i'm 34 weeks I  have given this up).

I eat goat cheese, sushi, tuna, and have the occaisional soda - but i usually don't like soda, so i haven't drank a lot of it.
