Can I vote for myself??  I'd love some good labor vibes sent my way.  3 days until my DD...

Aim4Baby, Somegirl, Coffee, and Farmer - sending you all amazing birth vibes! I've got no idea who's "next", but I know all your bodies and babies are doing their final preparations and you'll all be meeting your babies soon! smile.gif

yeahthat.gif  I hope all of you are feeling comfortable, and hopefully it won't be too much longer!

goodvibes.gif  Birthing vibes for those in need!

I know I am birthing on Monday, but I am sure some of you will go before that. Mine is my first planned C. (my last birth had some major complications so this is deemed safer for us both) Kind of nice knowing though. So think of me Monday at noon!

Definitely, Askew! Sending you great vibes for a smooth, beautiful cesarean birth and a quick recovery. smile.gif

Good luck Askew!  For most people I've talked to, a planned c-section has gone well (not me, but we won't talk about that).  Good vibes for a smooth surgery, healthy baby, and quick recovery!

Yes, this!  goodvibes.gif

Out of curiosity, is there anyway that you are preparing for surgery?  (Do they recommend you take arnica or anything?  Any way to prep for it?  I had an unplanned c-section with DS, so I was just wondering...)

I have been taking a double dose of my Floradix for two weeks. This weekend I stopped my fish oil, as it can increase bleeding. I have Anica and staphasagria (sp?) homeopathics for after. Staph supports the healing of surgical wounds. I also have some tamanu oil and manuka honey for the wound itself. I also got permission ahead of time from the OB and the anesthesiologist for my doula (who is actually a HB midwife) to be present in the OR to support me and DH. I am having a tubal after the surgery so DH will have to be with the baby alone for a short time. My last was a NICU baby though, so I have less attachment to everything being perfect and more to things just going smoothly. KWIM?

Good to know about the fish oil! I take it daily, but am a bleeder, so am drinking nettle tea. I'd hate to be canceling out my efforts.

Ooh, I didn't realize that about the fish oil! Yikes, I'll stop taking it when I take my prenatals tonight.

Askew, That's fantastic!  It sounds like you're supported in so many ways.  Thanks for sharing all of your info with us too!

Good luck to you, Askew! Wishing you a peacefully weekend as you anticipate the birth of your sweet babe!

Thinking of you tonight, coffee. Your baby will be in your arms so, so soon. Hang in there. More and more of us are feeling your impatience to meet our babies. What I'd do without the internet, I don't know! I've been reading castor oil threads, knowing I'm not going to take it, but just living vicariously, dreaming of contractions that are actual labor. When I get there, I'll probably be like"why did I want this?!"

And will have you in mind this weekend too, askew, as you prepare for your birth. I hope it will be peaceful and that your recovery will be easy. My friend had a beautiful cesarean birth a couple years ago. The baby was able to be placed on her directly after birth, even nursed in the or. I hope your experience brings a feeling of completeness as hers did. Much love.

Okay ladies, who is next? I have a c-section scheduled for Friday morning! Some one needs to go before me!

Gosh not sure at this point- it seems like a lot of our early August mamas haven't checked in much lately. I wonder if Farmer Cathy has had her little one? My guess besides you Harmie would be aim4balance. Can't wait to find out!

My baby is here and home. We had a textbook c section Monday afternoon. Baby and I did great, recovery was intense, but not unexpected. I greatly prefer vaginal birth! That said, 3 days post I feel good and my little sweetie is the best. joy.gif
