Cardigan, I had a version with my first around 38 weeks. He was a big baby too and we got him turned. It took the tiny doctor on her knees on top of me on the gurney in the hospital u/s room, giving it everything she had, but he turned. It hurt, heavy labour contraction hurt, but way better than a c-section recovery, which was my other option.
I did accupuncture too which got him moving, but not the right direction.
I had a great doula (who was calm, when I called Christmas Eve, 8 months pregnant, freaking out and breech) who helped me with options. She wanted me to FEEL like if it came it a C-section that I had done what I could. That attitude really helped.
