The Saner TTC-Thunder Moon - Page 7post #121 of 6778/17/13 at 9:43pmHas anyone on here had mirena iud??? I had one for almost two years and got mine taken out in oct 2012. It took til dec to get my period then it was normal a cpl months then off again and now it's messed up I'm just worried maybe its the mirena that messed me up. I need advice please. I don't have health insurance and my obgyn I had has moved out of state to another hospital. And I can only go to health dept and they don't seen concerned over nothing.post #122 of 6778/18/13 at 7:19amWell I think I'm getting a regular cycle for me which makes me happy then all these weird cycles. No signs and ad showed up this morning right before me and my hubby were gonna bd lol. Glad I realized something was off right before but now I'm 45-47 day cycle for last two months that's okay now I can start really temping and know when I ovulate pretty excitedpost #123 of 6778/18/13 at 11:19am
Oxford thanks for your advice! I just put a random low temp in for the 4th day before O date as that is the last day of vacation so I didn't temp for it, and that has worked! So I guess you have to have 4 low pre-O temps for crosshairs to appear.
6DPO today, feeling calm, no symptoms and not planning to test tomorrow which is usually when I HAVE to test first, when it's too early anyway. Hoping my will power kicks in and I won't test yet. Not sure how early pregnancy symptoms can start and I forgot which DPO I was when the very sore tender boobs happened with my last BFP...so feeling clueless but wondering if I am this time.
Goodluck to everyone else trying to hold off testing!!post #124 of 6778/18/13 at 4:20pmI am struggling with fertility friend at the moment too. Just seems my temps are everywhere and ferning happened on cd5 so just can't be right!!! All negative on OPKs so does this mean I o'd really early or not at all. Trying not to think too hard about it but DH left again today for another week so I'm just hoping we caught that egg somehow!!??!post #125 of 6778/18/13 at 6:22pmScjp: I had a mirena for 5 years before it had to be removed. It took about 2 months to get back into my normal 28 day cycle but as I wasn't ttc at the time I have to be honest I didn't pay it much attention. Good luck with the temping. I am struggling to remember to do it at the same time and my temps are just everywhere, lol!post #126 of 6778/18/13 at 7:40pmWell it's been almost a yr since mine has been removed and I am trying to remember about temping lol. But starting fresh tomorrow really wanna concieve this month it's been 6 mths since we started and I think I had a chemical or miscarriage in may so I'm hoping since I think I'm becoming regular for me I can start taking opks and hopefully succeed it was so easy with my son we were together for 3 mths and we were talking bout babies and just decided to try and tada lol we knew each other for 3 yrs and dated off and on but first time with out protection we had our son and now is almost three and we are goin on our three year anniversary next week so hopefully we succeed this month I have been feeling really good about wanting a baby now since when we started trying to concieve I guess I really am ready now so hopefully. Sorry bout the rambling never really have told y story lolpost #127 of 6778/18/13 at 10:10pmI love hearing all your stories. My DD who is 9 and DS who is 8 were suprises so this is my first time ttc. We are now up to month 3 of trying. Wasn't going to try this month due to DH having concerns about his swimmers after being exposed to chemicals in Afghanistan but things happened in the heat of the moment
I think I'm about to ovulate (partial ferning, increased cm and some cramping) but DH is in the army and just went away for the week. We did BD 2 days ago so I am hoping that those little guys are still hanging around in there!!!! I don't know, is that even possible to concieve 2 days after BD?post #128 of 6778/19/13 at 1:46amMorning,
Hoping- yes they can hang around 2 days quite easily. Hope thi is your month!
To everyone who is struggling with fluctuating temps- try temping vagibally. My temps bounced all over the place when I temped orally, now they are pretty steady.
AFM- my experiment in not monitoring this month hasn't worked. I thought I o'd on Friday, but it's difficult to tell as I have had hardly any EWCM. Today just to check, I took one temp and it was very low, pre-o temp. However today is past my latest o date. So I don't know what's going on now. I think next month I will just temp. I much calmer when I know what's going on.
Anyway, we are going away to turkey for the week today. Me, DH and teenage step daughter. Wish me luck. I think I will need it!! I am armed with all your excellent advice and will try just to stay out of it all and not let the teenage moodiness annoy me.
Have a great week :-)post #129 of 6778/19/13 at 2:14ampost #130 of 6778/19/13 at 10:59am
Oxford have a great vacation!!
7DPO today and resisted testing knowing it is really too early. I had some quite painful cramping for about an hour or so earlier today, so I'm wondering if that could have been implantation cramps? Now I'm extra anxious to start testing! I'm going to look online to see how long after implantation happens can a test be positive. Don't want to test tomorrow as still probably too early anyway.post #131 of 6778/19/13 at 2:16pmOxford - I hope your vacation is lovely. You're going to Turkey? I've never been, but I have family who have, and they really enjoyed it!
Winter - 7dpo is really really early. Good for you for not testing! I hope that you see a BFP later this week.
AFM - Remember that strong cramping and spotting from 6dpiui? Well, the cramping continued for a day or two then everything stopped. That's good, because that would have been much too early for AF's arrival. Yesterday on 11dpiui, I started spotting and cramping again. It continues today. Unless it stops or AF doesn't show by Friday, I think I'm just going to skip testing, because I'm pretty sure that this is AF gearing up and I don't want to see another BFN. I'm just trying to stay sane.

mamablue you are doing well not to test yet!
I'm 8DPO and managed not to test myself but I know that's early but it's good for me! No symptoms yet apart from the cramping yesterday, but we are discussing whether to take a break from TTC if it hasn't happened this time around. I feel half and half about it right now.
How is everyone else doing?post #133 of 6778/20/13 at 12:27pm
winter - I believe we're at about the same DPO. I'm not really seeing a clear temp shift this month (until today), but that's what FF says, and I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt since my temps have been going (very gradually) up since then and my CM has been reasonably consistent with that. But it's also possible that I ovulated several days later.
I just realized that it may be triphasic. I had been assuming that this wasn't a very promising month at all and barely even paying attention to it. Now I'm going to go all not-sane, I'm sure.post #134 of 6778/20/13 at 2:09pmpost #135 of 6778/22/13 at 1:43am
10 DPO today, I got the tests out and realized I only have 3 tests! And I don't plan on buying anymore so I reluctantly put them back in the box!! I didn't want to test this early anyway, but my I couldn't resist, anyway it doesn't matter now because I don't have enough tests to do it early. My plan is to test from 13DPO now which is when AF is due. 3 days to go! Will I be able to make it tho? I know it will be extra hard not to test tomorrow, I just want to know one way or the other right now!!
mamablue I'm sorry it was a BFN but still might be too early for a positiv...fingers crossed AF stays away for you.
ocelotmom, great! when are you testing?post #136 of 6778/22/13 at 9:24am
I was so good last month and didn't test at all, as it was clear I was headed towards AF by DPO 11. This month I just felt like doing the whole stupid ritual of testing too early and then holding on to the stick way past the 10 minute deadline examining it for a hint of a line. So that's what I did, and the ambiguity is very satisfying.post #137 of 6778/22/13 at 2:50pmHahaha Ocelot, you make me laugh as I am exactly the same some months, ie- testing way too early and looking at an obviously negative test for ages hoping a second line might magically appear, lol. I'm not hopeful this month but think I am approx 7 dpo. So I here by vow not to test AT ALL until 14dpo when af is due. Having said that, I already have signs af is on her way...post #138 of 6778/22/13 at 5:51pmpost #139 of 6778/22/13 at 10:07pmpost #140 of 6778/23/13 at 2:30am
ocelotmom hoping it is not the evap line! I've had those a lot and it is terrible getting your hopes up and then AF arrives. I knew it was an evap line because I tested it with tap water one day just to see if I got the same line and sadly I did....so then knew for sure it was an evap line. I hold onto the tests way longer than the 10 minute mark myself lol but this is the first batch of tests I have got evap lines on.
hoping I wish you lots of patience in the waiting period!
AFM 11DPO today and I caved and tested!!! BFN so sad to see those. I had some pre-AF type cramping yesterday and loose bm's which is typical of AF on her way for me, so not feeling too hopeful today. BFN's are always disheartening, but pre-AF cramps often continue during the first week or 2 of pregnancy, so I'm not counting myself out yet. AF is due on Sunday, so I'll know for sure by then. Question is do I buy more tests? I have 2 left for 1 saturday and 1 sunday....maybe I'll wait and see if AF arrives sunday before buying anymore. Cramping a bit as I type now
