The Saner TTC-Thunder Moon - Page 23

Wow, remind me to never buy that brand, because that is way too much of a tease. Looks like a faint BFP to me. Evil. But of course now I am hopeful for you, If you will let me be?
Yup, I agree with Rachet. Looks kinda real to me, and I never believe squinters. Can you retest?

Primal - I was thinking the same as ratchet and mamablue... Get yourself a good test and if nothing tomorrow - try again! Fx for you!

Ratchet - I hear you on the all bras don't fit thing lol... Good on you for spending the money! Better for you to pick it and feel sexy than dh to do it and kill the mood wink1.gif
Kaliakra - definitely a good thing if it lengthens wink1.gif

Primal, any change? It sure looks like a BFP to me. THe $.88 tests at Wal Mart have pink dye, if you happen to be in near one.

AFM - still having watery discharge, although it is now light brown and has been the last few days. Not a ton. I know it could be my cervix opening for O and just letting some old blood out (fx!) but I'm frustrated. What is going on?! I even took a pregnancy test (one of the aforementioned WalMart chepos) and of course it was a snow white BFN.  The OPT was negatory as well, although I think it was a bit darker than two days before, so maybe that's coming? Hopefully not too soon, DH is up interviewing until tomorrow night. We BD'd the last few nights, though, so... that's where we are.

Mare - I'm hoping you catch that egg! What CD are you?

Rachet - Sending happy and strengthening thoughts your way. I hope your cycle gets back to normal very quick for you.

AFM - IUI done just now. 54 million sperm this round. I hope this works. Please please please. Come on sperm, egg(s), tubes and uterus! You can do it. Please!!!!

Thanks for all the (no pun intended) positivity, everyone. AF arrived today, as I suspected. Blue dye tests are awful for dye runs, where the blue dye runs into the grooves where a BFP would be. I was suspicious of this one because the line was thicker to one side than the other, and thicker on the top than on the bottom. Just say no to blue dye! Oh well. I really never quite believed it, so it wasn't a big suprise or letdown when it didn't turn out right.

Another month, then! I think I'll try to get some OPKs at the dollar store to try to confirm that I'm still ovulating, and will probably do guiafenasin this month.

So sorry primal that has happened to me a few times and I got so excited then bummed out so I'm glad u are staying positive and not so down. I'm on cycle 37 and thinking bout testing Thursday but then idk If u want to maybe I'm just having. Another long cycle. My last two have been 35 and before it 45 for one cycle. So just hanging around lol I tested last week on mon and got a bfn
post #448 of 677
Primal - huge hugs, I know you're not down - but I'm thinking its time you got a break (like many if us here) it's soo funny the mental turn around from when we were young and you'd panic if you were late... To now and how disappointing AF can be. Hope you have something fun planned for this week and not just work xx
post #449 of 677
Oh wow Primal. That was a wicked test. I've never seen a false positive like that! It sounds like you have a great attitude though. Here's to a new cycle and a fresh hope for a positive test in a few weeks.

Oh wow...so much to catch up on.

Oxford- thanks love :-) my DS sure is a joy and he has his daddy's eyes. I love your attitude and embracing this change you are facing. That is absolutely the best way to deal with change. It is so much easier said than done, but good for you that you are in that mindset. There are "seasons of life" and I have heard we are either in one, coming out of one, or getting ready to begin a new one. We have to keep moving and be nimble! Yes you nailed it when you said you could relate to my DH making that decision about DSD- his reasoning for not consulting me is that he knew I would not like the idea so he went ahead and did it...and pretended he didn't realize what he was doing. Ughhh....frustrating. But I spent a week fuming over it, got a God-awful migraine...and then realized "why am I the one suffering??" So I just asked if he could still book our tickets, he did and at least now I am not as upset.

MEN?!? %%*<~€}€+!
Lol

Ratchet- you've been through a lot and I feel for you. I couldn't help cracking up reading about your DH picking out ill fitting lingerie (mine does the exact same thing...he seems to think I am a small...I am 5'9" and weight 165. NO SMALL HERE!! His ex was very petite and almost a dwarf...so that sort of pisses me off and makes me feel better at the same time. :-) Glad you have a good sense of humor and hope your period of rest passes soon and you can get back into trying.

I will come back and address the new ladies (welcome!) I am lying in bed and about to fall asleep.

But- I noticed some posts about OPK's and unreliable preg tests (so sorry Primal that stinks! I hate those blue dyes) Anyway there is a great online site earlypregnancytests.com they sell cheap, very accurate pink dye tests as well as OPK's. I ordered a bundle that included 25 OPK's and 10 hcg tests for $22 with free shipping! I received them 2 days later. I was crazy impressed. A friend told me about it. She used them and got pregnant the first month (only DTD once on the day of the positive opk because her hubby travels) and low and behold she is knocked up!

So anyway if anyone is interested in OPK's or reliable cheap tests- check it out.

Chuord- I am hoping that your symptoms are positive!! Hope all is well with you. :-)

AFM- I have myself a raging UTI again. The daily BD with legs in the air (instead if running to pee like I normally do, to avoid UTI) is not helping, plus the OPK's tell you to hold your urine before testing 2-4 hours and reduce liquid intake. So between not drinking water to avoid diluting the sample for the opk and the frequent BD....looks like I have to make an appt and go get some antibiotics. So frustrating.

The OPK's DO work though. I will post a pic in the Am of the progression. It shows when the surge began, when it peaked and then it slowly faded away. So I really feel certain that I know the O day was the 26th or the 27th.

Mares- I am just quickly responding without reading all of the updates so forgive me if I missed something but do you think the pink spotting was a strong O, and so when you took the opk it was negative because you already O'd? Sorry I will take time in the mornin and re-read and properly address everyone.

So glad we have lots of communication on the board. It makes me feel not alone!

Night all ;-)

Yeah, I've been sorta quiet because I'm treating what I'm assuming is a yeast infection (same symptoms as my last one, I never get discharge). If it doesn't clear up after a 3 day I'm just going to ask my doctor for diflucan because I'm pretty certain this isn't our month and its the only thing that clears my YIs up for good. I had one for 3-4 months in 2011, doc had to give me 2 doses of diflucan to get rid of that one! I tried everything else and nothing seemed to even touch it. Diflucan and nystatin are the only things that did anything for me.

Wengrin - Love the pictures of your son! Too bad we can't get our boys together to play. And hmm, I didn't think of that. I suppose it is a possibility... but it would have been pretty early for O. I am going to take another OPT tomorrow and see where we are. I'm so sorry to hear about the UTI! Ugg that sounds so uncomfortable.

WifeofAnt - Yeast infections are no fun either. I hope you feel better soon! I used to get them a lot as a teen and never do anymore... not sure why.

Does anyone know anything about low progesterone? I don't know that I have it... but just curious. I looked up symptoms and have some of them, but they could all be caused by other things for sure. Can you test for it?

Here's my chart. I can't temp reliably, so it's a bit boring, but you can see the spotting and BDing... (although there should have actually been marks on the 11 & 12, too.)

I have had wicked yeast issues..I feel your pain. I would go for the Diflucan...my doctor gave it to me while pregnant and nursing. I took 7 days of it while pregnant to try and combat a really bad yeast infection at like 35 weeks. It didn't even phase it. So he had me wait until after DS was born and I took 2 weeks worth! Then last year while nursing I got thrush and a yeast overgrowth in my milk ducts (so incredibly painful...OMG) anyway my body was overgrown with candida. I took 3 months!!!! Daily of 200 mg Diflucan.... still couldn't get rid of it. I finally took 5 days of Ketoconazole and that wiped it out. It was one of the worst issues I have ever dealt with. The whole time I was treating with medicine I was also eating plain Greek yogurt daily, taking probiotics, etc... It was just a really bad case that I didn't catch early enough and it got out of control. I hope you get some relief soon. Candida is a nasty thing that will overgrow and spread quickly!

Mares- yes would be nice if our boys could play! :-)
It's hard to tell by your chart...I have given up on temping because I take Prometrium for progesterone insufficiency. There is a blood test your doctor can do. Mine came back at an 8 when I lost my last pregnancy early... They want it over 12-15. As we age we lose the natural progesterone... But I would definitely see if you can get the test. Because low Prog would cause mid cycle spotting as well. I hope it was just a really strong O!!

:-)

Wifeofant and Wengrin - I've had similar issues, I'm also asthmatic and my preventative steroid causes mouth thrush... I use the once tablets and nil stat - but I wanted to mention a product called 'yeast ex' by 'empirical labs' I get mine from the purple house at forth Tasmania (website) it helps clear it out of your blood taking tablets over a month - and it's a herbal product. I found it helped a heap... And although I use a spacer I try and have a clean out once a year lol... On the yeast, I am not gluten intolerant - am fine with crackers etc - but anything with yeast bloats me like a balloon, and gives me digestive pain... Am sure my body is on yeast strike wink1.gif

Mare - love that pic!

Wengin, thanks for the info! I have the most amazing doctor here (She's one of the only reasons I'm sad about moving! I was really hoping she could be at my next birth mecry.gif) and I called to ask her about it. She said especially because I get frequent migraines except when nursing or pregnant we should definitely check. She says it is best to check after O, so it is too bad I'm having such a wonky cycle (BFN on my OPT today. Lighter than two days ago, I think) but to keep testing and we'll hopefully catch it. So that's good! I would much rather catch it now than after a loss.

She also recommended starting Vitex, just because it is awesome. Where does one buy Vitex?

Mares -- I get my Vitex on Amazon. I read that you should look for the extract rather than the fruit. I think it does keep my progesterone up, because my PMS symptoms have gone almost entirely.

I'm just at the hospital waiting for my dye test. Feeling very nervous and a little scared, a but about the procedure and mainly about the results. Hope everything is ok. I am so fearful about what they will find after 13 months if not conceiving. At least I will know.

Personals later, once I get out of here!

Oxford - Today's a big day for you! Yay for clean tubes!
