Everything has been sorted and returned! So expect your beads within the next two days for those of you in the US, a little more time for elsewhere. The shipping to Canada was $6.55, so please PM me to get my paypal address to refund the cost of that (Jaime and Lida I believe?)
Also some tips in case anyone ever wants to run or participate in one of these again:
-Have everyone use a padded envelope. The ones with bubble wrap worked great. Regular envelopes were torn up in the shipping and I was very worried about sending them back that way. I am keeping my fingers crossed they all make it safely, and put those I was very worried about in plastic bags.
-Shipping for the 12 beads was $2.25. I would assume that shipping for more would run around the same price. Make sure everyone has postage for at least that much on their return envelopes. The international shipping was a flat $6.55. I paid about $18 overall at the post office to ship everything due to wrong postage, and the lady at the counter was not happy with me to have to figure out all the little cents and dollars missing from postage.
-Using the google doc was a great way to keep everything organized and to make sure that things didn't get lost in the mail. I would assume this would help even more if it was a larger group.
-Make sure to have extra beads on hand in case a shipping mishap happens. We unfortunately lost a set of beads on the way to me, so it was great to have extras to take the place of those beads. The post office isn't perfect, and makes mistakes.
I am so excited for you all to get your beads. I can't wait to see everyone's bracelets/necklaces! Make sure to post pictures!
