Floradix?

I have been TERRIBLE about remembering to take prenatals, and I'm not a huge fan of supplements anyway but pregnancy is a different ball of wax. We eat very healthily and the window for neural tube defects closed awhile ago so I'm not overly concerned about folic acid, but what about iron? I've always been borderline anemic and I know how important iron is in pregnancy.

Does anyone take Floradix? Another kind of iron supp? Just eat lots of steak? :)

I have used Floradix in my previous pregnancies and I intend to use it this time. It tastes kind of nasty but it really works for preventing anemia.

I don't take floradix but haven't had my iron checked in a few weeks. I drink about a quart of homebrewed nettle tea (great iron source!) a day over ice, cook in a cast iron, eat unsulphured molasses in foods, and drink bone broth every couple of days... really hoping that's enough on top of my prenatal. Iron is really hard to stay on top of during pregnancy!

So apparently the nettle tea is pretty effective. I was way above normal and here I was concerned because I haven't been eating any meat. Try the nettle tea!

I used liquid chlorophyll with my last pregnancy.  My midwife recommended it to me.  It seemed to work ok.  It causes loose stools if you take it more than once a day.   My first pregnancy,  I took Chromagen and it worked better and faster than anything else I've ever tried for anemia.  My numbers were very low, though.

I hadn't thought of nettle tea, but I may give that a shot as well.  Thanks!
