Welcome to the group Amy! As I said in my other post, we have lots of folks in Oregon. In fact. Portland is where the largest group of Mothering members and visitors are at! Hopefully someone from the area will say hello and share some Oregon info with you. love.gif

Hi Amy, Our family lives in Colorado up in the mountains. So we are not in Oregon, but I love the state and a handful of friends there. Where in OR are you moving to? If you will be in the Bend area, or between Ashland/Grants Pass do join your local Moms for Moms site to connect with local mamas there! Good luck with your move!

Hello all! My other half and I just moved to St. Helens, or. We are working on saving up money to buy land in southern oregon, soon enough, but for now St. Helens is a nice compromise. Our rent is inexpensive and we are surrounded by beautiful little mountains.. Columbia river is just a stones throw away. We are far enough away from Portland to feel happily secluded from the fuss of the city, but close enough that we can get into the city when we want to visit friends or when we need resources. We both work from home, so in our spare time we are working on setting up a garden and chicken coop in our backyard so that we can "cut out the middle man" (and the toxins) in a large portion of our food supply.

I'd really like to meet other mammas in the area (Portland/St. Helens as well as Southern Oregon, around Klamath Falls) especially others who are interested in living sustainably, and possibly going off-the-grid... But really any mountain mammas.. I'm around here hoping to connect innocent.gif
