gah Probably not. I know this is my birth, but I need to see if DH is feeling the same kind of thing. We're usually so on the same page that it's creepy. lol

I definitely remember it the first time around! It's not too bad for me yet. I'll have amazing energy for about 3-4 days in row, then I'll just hit a wall and I'm super tired for 1-2 days.post #105 of 1288/28/13 at 5:13pm
Hippy YES!! I am SO tired again. I had a great 2nd tri with an energy rebound and generally feeling glowy but now that 3rd tri has begun, I am beat again. I assumed it is that I am older and have more responsibilities. I can't rest/nap when I want like I could with DD (though I recall feeling pretty tired at this point even with naps last time!). And my ctx have really picked up again. They are so strong/tight and at times take my breath away. Trying really hard to rest and not overdo things as I am prepping for the start of school.post #106 of 1288/28/13 at 7:34pmpost #107 of 1288/28/13 at 7:43pmpost #108 of 1288/28/13 at 8:07pmpost #109 of 1288/29/13 at 8:07am
Sila-lol, that's me. I'll get into a nesting frenzy for a day or a few hours and pay for it the next day. Did you set your crib up-how did it fit? Seem like it will work for co sleeping?
Uriver-how are you keeping from being bored on br? I'd be more tired too not doing anything :(
Sparkle-you and me sister :) Mine came back this week. I was going to ask my mw if I should take more calm, but I don't know that it will help. Will have to see the highest dose safe daily. We're going to have bh regardless (at least I am based on the others). But some of them knock my socks off like before and will pattern that I can time them, so not cool. I can't believe that bh's are that strong with each pregnancy and normal, even though not causing a cervix change yet. Mine were never this strong unless it was a labor ctx. Being very aware of drinking enough.
Hope you get through the school days okay. When's your maternity leave start? Were you the one thinking you'd deliver end of Oct? How early was your first?
Set up my Sept calendar and realized yikes-if I go by a 39wkr, we have 10wks left! I highly doubt we'll go past 40, and I hope it's not a before 39wks. Starting to get all fluttery in the heart and a little panic that we're actually going to have a nb in the house again after 6yrs. Arghhh! It's exciting, but I feel like a first time mom again :) Worried about the others-will they be okay and stuff. We're done with our three week break from school and start home school core next week, and various co op classes start, so we'll be busy. Sept/Oct is going to fly. I feel like I should order my prefolds and prep them even though they are on my registry. I even want to install the car seat, but telling myself it's too early.
Showers-any planned, I know we talked about them last month. I'm okay with my friend throwing me one now, but still a little nervous. But it's like we're running out of time to have by end of Oct and plan it.post #110 of 1288/29/13 at 8:49ampost #111 of 1288/29/13 at 9:29am
I have been feeling super tired again too! And I am so sick of my job it's ridiculous. I hate getting up in the morning, and have no time for anything when I am home because all I want to do is eat and then go to sleep. . . . I feel like I will never not be tired again in a long time.
I have one baby shower planned in two weeks. My sister (with some help from my Mom, because she's only 13) is throwing one for me. I will be about 30 weeks at the time. It will be for the family who lives in another part of the state, so I will have to drive a couple hours. Then I expect my sisters-in-law who live in the same city as me will throw one as well, but I haven't heard any plans, and suspect they will wait until October. Personally I would rather have it earlier than later. I will be larger and have less energy the longer they wait, so I would rather just get it done now and not have to worry about it anymore.
I am already thinking of packing my hospital bag, and I think I will. I don't want to bring a lot, but I don't see the harm in it this early if it will help me relax a little. :) I get my car seat at the beginning of October when I finish my prenatal classes. The hospital will give me one.
My husband is leaving for basic training October first. Mix of happy and sad there. .. . :( So we have a lot of things planned in September, and I know it will go by super fast. On Sunday he was refusing to get ready for church because he went to bed late and didn't want to go. I was ready, and it was almost time to leave. I said "oh well I will go by myself. I will be alone soon anyways so I better get used to it". Then I had a breakdown and started balling. He felt really bad and got ready in a hurry after trying for a minute to comfort me. I was super fragile and clingy for the rest of the day.
So my mood swings are back. They had disappeared for a while. I feel bad for my sweet husband, and will try to contain them a little until after he is gone.post #112 of 1288/29/13 at 1:00pmI am tired too. My insomnia has left for awhile, so I'm tired but not as exhausted as I was. Not looking forward to being more tired as we enter the final stretch... Our homeschool year has begun and even though I really want to start our school day at 8:30 and be done by lunch, I'm having a hard time making this happen. And I see it happening less after the baby comes. :-( on the plus side, this is our third year homeschooling and I feel like we are really in the groove now. Things are easier.
I'm dying to wash and organize baby things! I want to buy my new cloth diaper covers too, even though I put these on my registry. I'm not having a baby shower this time, but so many friends have asked me what I need that I created an amazon baby registry. Not that there's much on it. Though now that've created it, nobody has asked me again! And I hate to bring it up myself. I'm channeling my wanting to nest/do baby stuff to knitting baby things.post #113 of 1288/29/13 at 7:42pm
I'm still here. Haven't had much time for checking the forums, we're working hard on school around here. Tomorrow will put us five days ahead of schedule, so I can take a long break when the baby arrives. :) My older son has a cavity now, so I'm stressing a lot about that. I hate having to deal with dentists. But the appointment is made, so now I can try to just put it out of my mind until then.
29 weeks, that seems so far along! Though I'm not sure how my belly could possibly get any bigger... :) I must have been hungry lately like the rest of you. I didn't weigh myself for three weeks, during which I visited my parents for a week. When I got back I'd gained 7 pounds. :eyeroll I'm hoping not to keep on gaining at that rate, even though I got off to a slower start than usual this time around. :) I still can't seem to eat cheese, and I still feel kind of sick at random times. But I can eat hummus again!
The baby is super wiggly. My younger son is particularly excited about feeling the baby kick, and he gets lots of chances. :)
I still have to ask my mom whether she'll watch the boys during labor... I've been putting it off.post #114 of 1288/30/13 at 10:50am
Tiffa-mood swings here too. That's tough your dh has to leave :(
Vaquita-me too on the home school. I used to make them get up and start by 9, but that drove us crazy. It's our third year too, we're doing 1st and 3rd. We're still usually done by lunch though. My dh has no idea how I'm going to school with a nb. I'm not stressed about it. Told him I'll just go with the flow. If we take some days off, it's not like the kids aren't doing well as home schoolers anyhow.
Hapersmion-mine love to feel the baby move :)
The only thing I washed were the dipes that I made, and the few blankets I have, oh and the car seat covers, so the chemicals are off them. Waiting on the clothes still.post #115 of 1288/30/13 at 12:40pm
30 weeks here and fatigue has definitely returned. I am fine until 230 or 3 in the afternoon and then I have a rough hour. I can normally rally just fine until 7 when we are putting the kids to bed and then it's all I can do to stay awake while we read books and tell stories. What stinks is that I then sit on the couch like a zombie as I need to eat something around 9 or else I wake up feeling really grody. And then it takes so. much. effort. to get off of the couch and upstairs.
This baby is def more wiggly than its brother and sister. Incredibly so. I think it's funny because it's also very opinionated about the way I sit or lie down. If it doesn't like it I get little jabs as it moves around :)post #116 of 1288/31/13 at 11:18amThread Starterpost #117 of 1288/31/13 at 12:53pmpost #118 of 1288/31/13 at 5:31pm
My baby has gotten super wiggly too. And his kicks are getting harder and close to my ribs. Sometimes it take me by surprise, as I am just used to little bitty movements.
I am hungry all the time and have been for months. My weight gain has been around a steady 3 pounds every month I think so I am still okay. :) Yesterday I ate a ton of crap though, and then I felt like crap. I don't get sick very often now but when I do it's usually because I haven't been eating well. Some days self control is just really hard. But it makes me feel guilty so I have newly resolved to try and stay on track instead of justifying everything until it all adds up.
I have a quick question. I am using a pre-used crib. Do I need to buy a new mattress? It seems to be in fine condition, and the woman giving it to me is very clean.post #119 of 1289/1/13 at 8:45am
I would love an afternoon nap. Can't fall asleep though, so I close my eyes and at least try to rest for half hour or so. Insomnia is back too along with occasional ms-bleh.
Tiffa-you want to check to see if the crib has been recalled. The brand and style should be on there to look up, and maybe even a number.
? on the mattress. I'm weird about those, I like new ones and as natural as possible, but that's me. There are crib mattress covers you can get though. Clean it down real well and cover it? I think most mattresses are waterproof unless an organic one not covered by the standard stuff.
I bought our pack n play/bassinet thing from a real clean mom, but first nice sunny day, I still scrubbed the whole thing-mattress too-down and sun dried it, then sprayed it with 7th generation stuff. You're not supposed to wet that mattress down, but I did anyhow. Washed the stuff I could in the laundry. We got a crib for our 1st at consignment (so they already check the recall), but I still scrubbed it down and actually repainted it. I think it was recalled later due to drop down side issues.
That sounds fine for weight. I'm up #23, my mw said that was fine as long as I kept gaining at minimum 3# a month till the end. I gain my weight early, not the end.
Rib shots-oh yeah, they're here now. And I swear lung shots, and some cervix shots too :)
Anyone doing spinning babies? I know it's mainly for breech, but can be used to hopefully get and keep baby in right position for birth. I'm going to make a daily effort to do the things I haven't been, while this little one is still rolling around, to get my pelvis ready. Some of the movements were a little hard last month when my sacroiliac joint was hurting so bad, but it's been a lot better with the sj stretches I found to do.
Has anyone used a belly band, or those longer tanks to wear reg clothes longer? I didn't pick one up early on during clothing switches and now wished I had. Out of curiosity, I put a pair of jeans on the other day, and could have worn them if I had that band. I feel like I've been wearing the same 2 shorts because they're the only ones that aren't tent like. I refuse to buy pants when it gets cooler if I don't have to, but wondering if my hips will widen much more once baby drops.post #120 of 1289/1/13 at 12:32pm
Yep, feet in the ribs here. Some days she rams her head into my pelvic floor over and over and again too. Real comfy... If it's really bothering I do a bunch of pelvic tilts and re position her.
Hippy - Yep, I've been doing Spinning Babies. I mostly just do the pelvic tilts. I think I'm getting enough inversions in with my 5-6x wk yoga practice.
I have a MW appt on Sat and I'm interested to see how much I've gained. I'm guessing I'm up to or around 20lbs by now.
