It ain't all glowing and flutters: the ugly side of pregnancy - Page 2
Since reading about different bathroom positions, I often just rest my feet on the edge of the tub which is immediately in front of the toilet. But I was also thinking in terms of squats as exercises. Going up and down and doing several is very uncomfortable for me. I can hold a squat for a little while. I was wondering if anyone is aware of alternate exercises that accomplish the same or similar goals.
I wonder if the Pilates excercise- Bridge- would do the same thing? I've been doing pilates for a few years now, and it was incredible the impact it had on the strength and health of my whole body. I wouldn't start it while you're pregnant, but afterwards, if you can find a class with a good instructor, I say it's worth doing it once (or more) a week. I know my pelvic floor muscles have gotten so much stronger from doing Pilates.
