We are probably crazy but it only took us a week to pick our baby names: Leila or Alec. I think middle names will take the next 8 months though hahaha :)
Sooo I know it's very early, but is anyone else thinking about names already?
Oh, Leila is such a pretty name!
Vtechmom, DP and I could only agree on a boy's name my first pregnancy and we ended up having a girl.
I have a couple ideas for girl names floating around, none for boys yet. DP likely isn't even thinking about it. He has had a boy's name picked out for some time.
My daughter and I both have flower names, so if this babe is a girl, she'll have one, too. Poppy is my favorite, but DF doesn't like it! I also like Ivy and Fern, which are close enough to flower names that they'd work. If she's a girl, her middle name will be Jean after my aunt who just passed away from lung cancer right before I got pregnant. I was pregnant at her funeral but didn't know it yet.
If it's a boy, I have no idea. My son's name was Hawthorne, and I feel pretty strongly about not incorporating his name into this baby's name. It doesn't feel like honoring him to me somehow. I like mountainy sounding names like Flint, Cedar, and Everest. They sound fantastic with what our last name will be.
Last pregnancy, we didn't have a single name- boy or girl- at all. I had ideas that I liked and he hated, he had ideas that he liked and I hated. Truthfully, after the baby was born and we had a totally blank slate- just a new person, a new face to gaze at- I enjoyed thinking of names after she was here.
BUT, for some reason, this time, we've already got a name that we both like for a boy. (So, yeah, maybe another girl?) Since it'll be so close to Easter, his name will be Victor Pascal. Paschal? I'm not sure which spelling I like best.
I think of the tennis player Rafa Nadal (who I love) so I love that name as well
If we have a boy, he will be Peter. I also love Raphael and Emmanuel, but my husband hates them so they're out. If it's a girl, we have no idea, the total opposite of my first pregnancy, when we had a girls name in 5 minutes, and never chose a boys name, which worked out since I had a girl.
