Kail, I'm pulling for you!!!! I remember that stress just a week or so ago. We closed on our house aug 12. I've been effaced for months now so I hope it means you've got a few more weeks to get settled!

Livingsky; good luck!

It's so frustrating that nothing is happening here. I'm due on the first day of the month yet everyone seems to be ahead of me! I woke up this morning with literally no energy; getting out of the chair is too much effort. That's what I really hate right now; being so heavy and tired and completely lacking any form of energy. I just wish my body would get a move on, but there is no sign at all. Ugh.

Well contractions startes around 4:30 am even before i took the concoction. Have taken it twice now and DTD and contravtions are now irregular but getting more consistent. Between 5-10 apart and lasting 45 seconds or so, with the odd quick little tightening contraction in between.

Hope to meet this little one today!

Good luck-wishing you a quick and easy labor!

I think I missed why you were trying to have the baby early, LivingSky, but best of luck!

Haven't noticed any mucus plug yet. I definitely saw my mucus plug with dd. I'm afraid to DTD until my parents arrive from out of state because I want them here for the birth and DTD sent me into labor with dd so I don't want to risk it yet.

Today I had some very intense braxton-hicks after doing some shopping. They were very low and felt different than the BH I have been experiencing, as not only did it make me very short of breath, like I just couldn't get enough air in, but it felt like I had a belt on that just kept cinching tighter. The first one lasted over a minute and then I had another one 10 minutes later that lasted about 30 seconds or so. After I got in the car and sat down, things started to normalize. Baby has been very active these last few days. S/he dropped last week and I am feeling a lot of pressure down below now, stools are softer and I am experiencing a lot more mucous. I think things are starting to move in the right direction.

Thinking good thoughts for you, LivingSky, and the rest of you that are close!  FYI, though i am in "the window" now, i'm in no hurry (yet) so i'm happy to send any of my own potential labor energy to the rest of you who are ready to birth!

*sigh* 7 hours of regular contractions yesterday, and another 4 hours today, but they keep tapering off. Hopefully I can get a good sleep tonight and try to walk myself into labour that sticks tomorrow!

do you know what position the baby is in? Posterior? Anterior? Try pelvic tilts and lunges. Also look up side lying stretch on spinningbabies.com

Ack! I know that must be frustrating, LivingSky. Maybe baby just needs these few extra hours or days to bake.

Living sky I feel your frustration!!!! I tryed walking today orngtongue.gif Still no luck. We went to the zoo and walked the entire thing!!! Walked for over 4 hrs!!! At the end of the day my body started with mild contractions about 15 mins apart and now 3 rounds of cleaning myself out. But still nothing progresses. Guess the babe needs more time. It just feels strange to be 1 day from my due date and still be pregnant since my older 2 were born by now with no interventions natural or otherwise. Ah well....

letniaLynne- FWIW, when my mom was pregnant with my brother, she walked the zoo the day before her water broke and she went into labor.  Fingers crossed for you!

I'll be 37w tomorrow. I went into labor with my 1st the night before I was 37w as well, so I figure anything can happen!

I've had a few contractions here and there throughout the weekend, but nothing worth getting excited about.  I just hope I can keep my laid back view of not really caring when I finally do go into labor for the next few weeks-but I'm optimistic because with my other ones I was already antsy by now.

Having my self a little freak out right now.

While stupidly trying to rock my daughter to calm her down I feel a little gush. It turns out I had to go sit on the toilet because I feel like I'm peeing myself. Embarrassing. I ignore it. Now it's happened again. It smells like pee but a little sweetish. Worrying. I'm only 35 weeks!

Someone posted a very good set of things to determine if your water is breaking or lol it's just incontinence. Hoping its the latter... Google isn't helping me. Ugh. It's 1am! I am going to try and go to bed but worrying...

Good luck, Tilly!

Tilly; I hope it's nothing to worry about, good luck!

Livingsky; that must be so frustrating! I hope the contractions pick up soon. On the positive side, I read that it could mean a quicker first stage of labour which is always good!

I was 39 weeks yesterday and not a sign to be had. I ate curry and DTD, and all that happened was I had a really bad night's sleep and hallucinated about My Little Pony. I think it's pointless for us to DTD anyway because isn't it the sperm you need to get things going? Well thanks to those bloody things that might or night not be warts, we have to use condoms. I really am doomed to be late.
