Dr. Gary Chapman wrote the book about Love Languages of Parenting. The five love languages are
1. Physical Touch
4. Acts of Service
5. Time together
Lets share on a) How do you show love to your children in your language?
and b) How does your child(ren) show love to you in their language?
Being a mom, I do ALOT of "acts of service", as any mom does! Gee, motherhood is one big long "act of service" sometimes. But being that I have teens, I do some things that I know they can do themselves, just to show them I love them. For example, I will pick up my son from the bus stop 15 blocks away (even though he is capable of walking) just to do something for him. My other son will make me cups of tea.
I try to take each child out for one-on-one time through "Time together" and I even go up and hug my big sons without warning. Hey, they have never said "no" yet!
What do you do?
