Also. My ankles. I have the skinniest ankles now that I'm postpartum- no more swelling and I can see dainty bones. smile.gif

I want to hear about how you can eat what you want without having to go through the mental checklist of pregnancy "no-no"s! And how you don't have to schedule time to sit on your fit ball or do inversions or get on all-fours.

Yep. I just realized I can have homemade ice cream. Not that I have, but if my parents make it I'll have some.

Mum mm I can have beer.
I put on my pj a few hours postpartum and then realized it as not been that easy in months. Even getting out of the birth tub, just moving was easier.

That sounds fantastic! How quickly did the swelling go down after birth?

Mamapigeon, my swelling was gone overnight (DD born at 9pm) and maybe sooner. That's the first I checked.

I can eat sweets without having to throw up. I eat as much as I want (a bunch) whenever I want! No nausea. No heartburn. No peeing every 5 seconds. It's fabulous!

Can someone describe the part where you walk without waddling and/or throbbing hips and vagina???  Please!!!

I'm walking 3 miles a day and have been within 2 weeks post c-section. Even after 6 weeks of bed rest it's pretty easy. Still feel fat but working on that.

I feel like my body has forgotten what a normal gait is like and I will be waddling for the rest of my days... orngtongue.gif

Nope, you'll be great. I was sooo uncomfortable the last weeks with two of them inside of me but once I got through the initial c-section horrible pain I got along pretty well.  I'm not ready to run - I ran the other day and my internal organs were really sore but it's still way better than how I felt the last few mos of pregnancy.

Mama, walking is second nature again! No soreness or discomfort. Same stamina as before. I can keep up with the 2.5 year old even with baby in the sling. It's coming, hang in there!!

I actually had really swollen ankles during my first week postpartum, due to all the fluids I received after I hemorrhaged. I'd say by 9 days postpartum, my swelling was completely gone.

I'm still swollen. My NP said it will be a long time before we get rid of it all.

My favorite thing is not waking up to pee every hour. I get better sleep nursing a newborn than I did 9 months pregnant. Now I can actually go two feedings without getting up to pee. It's luxurious.

Yes on the not peeing all the time! It's like my bladder can now hold more because I still pee a few times a night but nothing like 6x/hr like I was.

And I just need to pee once, not again in five minutes.

I am also appreciating the lack of swelling down there.

Mama505, I walked myself to the bathroom within an hour of delivery and it was so easy and non-throbby + lightweight, it was like I had magic legs!
