What is it with uncles? My brother is here visiting and Clover laughed at him, too!

Lila's "new" things is to pull off a little while nursing and smile and look up at me. She's only 7 weeks! I can only imagine how nursing is going to go when she is more coordinated!

Oh. The. Smiles. LOVE them!! She just started smiling recently but for the first 6-7 weeks we were mostly in crisis mode with thrush/nursing strike/GV induced mouth ulcers/more nursing strike... Now that things are ok, she's an alert, smiley little soul who rarely makes a peep except to coo or signal a need (nurse, burp, poop).

I got a laugh today. Made my whole morning bright.
Also a first- while picking my big kids up from an outdoor program (read:out in the woods) Rowan had his first major poop blowout. As in all the way to the feet of his pjs and up to his armpits. Poop was everywhere. Of course where there is no running water... Took two moms to get him cleaned up with 100 diaper wipes. Major. At least it's a cheery color.

Julia and I's first successful act of NIP using the lact-aid supplementer. Her little hand gripping my shirt is even helping my modesty.

Wow, I'm impressed you used that in public. Good for you! I do a bottle in public, the SNS is hard enough at home. Proud of you!

Lila has started to grip my shirt too. It's so funny! Good for you, NIP!!!

Not for baby, but Chris and I are starting to figure out Elliott's cries, so far we have burp me, feed me and put me to sleep down. Also the "I HATE THE CARSEAT" wail that we get super dirty looks for.

Awesome. I think I know the Tired cry and also the Hate Carseat cry :-). She doesn't usually cry for food since I usually offer before she gets hungry, and she doesn't cry to be held so much as she just gets really anxious -- high breathing rate and then grunting and finally this big "Giyaah!" yell that I think means "pay attention!" I hear that one a lot after showers when she's just waiting while I get dressed.

There's the sunset blues wail...
And the 'you're not my mama so why are you touching me' scream
And the 'get me out of this torture device that you call carseat' hysterical shriek

Glad our nearest neighbor is an elderly woman with hearing trouble.

Elliott does the same pay attention yell. I call it his "hello mommy! I here!" or his reminder yell. Usually the only time we hear the hungry cry is at his 330am feed and he wakes up crying.

Ah, and guess what?! My 5 year old was diagnosed with type A & type B of the flu on Tuesday. He was the first confirmed case in the entire state of SC greensad.gif he's had a fever since LAST Thursday fluctuating between 102-104 every singe day since then. The highest was 104.7 on Tuesday wee morning hours. On Sun I took him to a CVS minute clinic and she said ear infection by Tues he was 1000x worse even with antibiotics and 104.7 fever so we went to our Pedi where they swabbed for flu. Both types positive. WTH?!?! How did he get this if no one else has it?? DH is super sick, my mom (living with us since May moving out next week!) started feeling super ill today and poor Bodie greensad.gif so I'm spraying Lysol, using Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer CONSTANTLY!! I really need to stay well and keep Camden & Lilah well!!!

that sucks so much Tenk!! Use that clorox and lysol like it's going out of style! (something I very VERY rarely say, lol), just make sure you're letting the lysol air dry, don't wipe it down, or it won't kill the virus (not sure how easy that is with the little ones running around)

Elliott is ROLLING!! also, he can wriggle in a circle (he can't quite get his arms and legs coordinated)

Wow, cynthiamoon, I am impressed too. Like harmonious, I nurse and use a bottle in public and SNS at home.
