What sweet things has your partner been doing this pregnancy?

I know with pregnancy hormones, it can be pretty easy to get irritated with our husband/boyfriend/partner. But my husband has really been going out of his way to be sweet and I thought it would be nice to think of the ways they're trying to be supportive in the pregnancy. My husband bought me fancy sparkling waters and natural sodas at the grocery to replace cocktails. He decided it's his job to buy all my prenatal vitamins. He's been telling me nonstop that he loves me and he's excited about the pregnancy. He's been giving me foot rubs. And yesterday -- this is huge -- he cleaned my son's totally trashed room for me. I was tired, the room was a mess, and my nephew was coming over to spend the night, so he took DS in and they cleaned it. I was like, dude, I am so glad I married you. What's your partner been doing to make you feel loved and supported? How is he/she showing excitement about the pregnancy?

Well, there hasn't been a ton of excitement from either of us at this point. Mostly still disbelief. DH is very concerned about being able to keep up with the kids as a SAHD with his chronic pain issues, but he is being really sweet. Getting me whatever food I want and think I can eat at any given time (including popcorn in the middle of the night after he was already asleep), making sure I'm getting enough sleep so I can function at work. And while we can't talk about the pregnancy much since the kids are home and don't know, he is showing little glimmers of excitement. <3

We are totally shocked and a little overwhelmed. Unfortunately there has been a lot of talk leading to finally testing about how much we didn't want me to be pregnant, so it has almost felt personal to me to know that he absolutely did not want this. We did a lot of talking yesterday and I went to bed feeling this heavy weight on me.

My DH gets up around 5 am and leaves before 6 - he came to me and gently kissed me goodbye. I stirred awake and then jumped as he pulled back the covers and started to move down my body (i thought he was putting a move on me and was like - DUDE - I'm sleeping! - lol) but he kissed my belly and then tucked me back in. It meant the world to me.

With the other pregnancies my husband had a happy but serious demeanor, like I could see the added responsibility weighing on him.....by the 4th he just comes across as happy and excited. I think us handling everything well so far makes him confident this time around. Nice to see him just enjoying it:)

I mentioned on the FB group how using nicotine-free liquid in my e-cig helps my queasy stomach (I use a mint flavor, so it has natural mint oils in the flavoring). Well, today I left the darned thing on the bed, and I am feeling super queasy. I work 20 miles away, yet by my first break I had a text message from DH telling me it was on the front seat. He loaded 4 kids up and drove all the way here to bring it to me to try and help my queasy stomach. <3

You are so lucky. lol the sweetest thing my husband has done was put a hole in wall trying not to flip out on me. lol god I hate pregnancy hormones...I think he got them too. lol

My DH is the type that doesn't really get super excited until the baby is actually born, at least normally. This time around he's been the one wanting to tell everyone rather than wait like we agreed. Plus he's made dinner every night for the past two weeks without complaint. He's got some major brownie points stored up right now smile.gif.

aw :) with my first 2 kids (my x husband) never did anything when I was pregnant. he never even felt either my my kids kick when they were in my belly :( sad...I know. My man now (though I think he has pregnancies hormones too right now lol) he puts coconut oil on my belly every night before we go to bed and will lay there rubbing it and kissing it, as long as I will let him :) I love it!
