With my first pregnancy, we had 2 ultrasounds - one at around 14 weeks and one at 20 weeks. With my second, I UP, so no ultrasounds until I went into preterm labor, when I had several within a few days. With our third, we had 2 ultrasounds - one at 20 weeks and a high risk scan at 23 weeks. After that appointment, we left our dr and UP the rest of the pregnancy, so no more ultrasounds until I was in labor and transferred to the hospital. This time, because our last baby was full-term stillborn, we are planning to have as many ultrasounds as we can. I know the risks and theories behind the dangers, but for us, we need the reassurance of seeing our baby and knowing they are okay through the pregnancy.
